yes I am being disingenuous on some level. I've used monero before, and truly have nothing against it, but i don't think it's a necessity to transact privately.
by learning how bitcoin works, one learns that it is entirely transparent. this allows one to plan on how/where to acquire coins outside of exchanges, and when/where they may potentially link utxos and potentially identity.
similarly to my being disingenuous, I think it's disingenuous to say Bitcoiners need monero to spend privately. but I guess this is where we get into semantics about privacy & anonymity.

there is no delete in the internet.
there is no delete on any social media. only, "don't show this to my followers". X and Facebook still have all of the data. It is a perception of deletion.
there is no delete in nostr. i can rebroadcast all of the notes of people I follow to a private relay that doesn't accept edits/delete events types.
at best, you're catering to people's conditioning and making them feel 'at home'.
at worst you're deceiving people into believing they can fully remove their posts.
further, screenshots are hard to prove the pubkey posted said note; screenshots can be manipulated and photoshopped. nostr events being cryptographically signed is a significantly more honest proof of post.
there is no delete in the internet.

in addition to cryptographically signing this note with his private key, he also used his computer to do a small amount of 'Proof Of Work' which depending on his purposes (maybe a relay he uses requires it to store the note longer term; or some other reason) he believes there is some benefit in doing it.

github pages allows you to host a website through github. they'll give you a clunky & long domain name that contains your username and other bullshit. I host my website that way (cheap and avoiding VPS costs), but I got my own domain which points to github.
I believe I found a guide somewhere on the internet when i set this up a year ago. if I have time during or after work I'll do some web searching to see if I can find the resources I used.

I'm using amethyst and the Minibits app (play store). it's very intuitive, and seems to play nice. it allows you to use your nostr keys & nip05 for a custom address or you can choose from options they provide. I loaded it with a couple hundred sats to test and haven't had issues.

I generally believe anarchy is a better solution than statism. however that means if a group of people would like to form their own governing body, they should be allowed to, because there are no rulers. it becomes an issue if people are forced or coerced to participate in or with that group.
I believe a better monetary system, #Bitcoin , will create a better incentive system to help to prevent the rampant corruption we see today, but only on the monetary system front. people are corruptible to others with lots of money, influence, commodities, etc.
as for crime, there will always be people who take the low road and do wrong, but we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water. even in our current system there is crime and people breaking laws.

unfortunately I cannot use gpg and termux for some reason, it won't install. I tried UserLAnd and had succeeded with gpg, but due to (I think) user permissions cannot use wget. I believe it said it had to do with the certificate for f-droid being out of whack.

was talking about this with someone on here the other day, if you want to look at my replies to see that thread.
I've heard good things about start9, seems very similar to umbrel.
I wouldn't recommend running a lightning routing node on an rpi4, mine usually needs to be rebooted every week/every other week.
if you want to run a node and run a mempool instance, I'd say go for it! if you want to route LN or just a more reliable node, I'd suggest a slightly more powerful PC. like a dell optiplex or an optiplex thin client, or a middle 2010s laptop.
