on a personal note, for 30 years I lived in a part of the city that would reasonably be considered the ghetto by an outside observer. I never once had a problem with every day criminals. People voluntarily pay water bills, electric bills, tolls for roads on toll roads, to name a few. Dont pay, you dont use. I really fail to see the problem. just like roads already exist, public works, transportation and all other infrastructure already exist, many of it being handled by private interests already. Its not like things are going to suddenly disappear if we remove the state. There is not a single service that is SOLELY provided by government currently that is even necessary for society to function.
