A future with lightning network, liquid and Fedimint as the only scaling layers is a dead bitcoin. It’s not bitcoin at all. It’s custodian-2-custodian ecash.

Liquid is a federated model made up of 15 unknown members around the world with no ability to verify. All takes is 8 members to collude to steal everyone’s funds. It could be very possible that it’s just the same person with 15 different addresses. Liquid was closed source only until recently. With Liquid you can’t have z-cash level privacy and Turing complete smart contracts.
Blockstream in 2014 released a Whitepaper on Sidechain scaling which had clear support from various bitcoin core contributors. They raised huge amount of money for their sidechain idea. They decided to just make Liqud instead which they control and the transaction fees go to Blockstream instead of miners.
Even Adam Back (satoshi) the CEO of Blockstream has stated publicly he supports bip300. He even said last year dc would have been more useful than taproot.

Well in several years as the block subsidy drops each halveing. Most of miner revenue is likely going to come from bitcoin transactions fees. So as long as people are using bitcoin and fees go to miners to secure the network I don’t care what they use their BTC for.
There’s an elephant in the room many in the space ignore. ETH is deflationary and supply shrinks as transaction fees increase due to the fee burning mechanism.
Why I am talking about a PoS centralised shitcoin?
If bitcoin doesn’t build out applications with large number users then it’s possible for a shitcoin like eth with many layer 2 scaling solutions and deflationary monetary supply to flip bitcoin just by network effects and Wall Street deciding they like eth more.
Okay let’s go with your idea and use tap ass, and spider chain. Firstly, tap ass suffers the same problems as lightning users dependant on centralised Liquidity Service Providers (new banks) to perform successful transactions. Secondly, spider chain has no code made public yet. It admits it’s that you have trust members to release your bitcoin when you wish to return back to (13000 blocks) mainchain.
The whole point of drivechain soft fork is so it takes 3-6 months to withdraw your btc to mainchain. It takes 51% miners to steal over 3-6 months the sidechain funds. The chances of this statistically very low as it’s fully transparent. Making it basically trustless.

Mainchain blocksize remains the same and unaffected.
There is no guarantee a big block sidechain would ever gain adoption. If it did gain adoption so what? Maybe the Bcash community would finally accept defeat and come over to BTC again use that sidechain. And it may become more profitable for miners due to increase in transaction fees.

Yes, it’s true that Drivechain theoretically boosts miner revenue i.e. incentives, but that’s a good thing for bitcoin network.
And it’s “opt-in”. Only those who willing to risk their funds and business on sidechain are bearing the risk.

There is no urgency or rushing.
Only draft BiPs have been presented will take time til final draft is approved. That’s the whole point of btc core review process to do the checks, code audits and balances it’s a time intensive process.
So don’t worry you will be hearing more about drivechain when the final drafts are complete later this year or next year 😆.

I support drivechains for various reasons. I believe it’s good idea. There are some risks but any new bip has risks look at Segwit and Taproot have us ordinals and inscriptions. Without segwit and Taproot we wouldn’t have lightning network today so trade off was worth it.
As bitcoiner I appreciate the original chain as the way bitcoin was created was unique compared to vc funded insider altcoin chains.
If there was chain split pushed then I would still choose BTC because that’s where the user base will most likely be. Even if you disagree with bip 300 then we can still be friends.
I reject the idea that drivechain propensity are like Bcashers and/or BSVs.
It was always believed all the cool features on shitcoins would be brought to bitcoin layer 2s for years.
Suddenly in 2023 for some reason we are only allowed to talk about lightning despite some of its limitations.

Breathatarian is an interesting concept.
If it works for you I am happy for you that you have reached spiritual enlightenment of such highs.
But most testimonies of people I have seen doing breathatarian usually last only few months without eating food before they start looking extremely weak and unhealthy. They usually end up being eating afterward and gaining lots of weight to regain body mass.

I have now gone 8 weeks eating only Meat, Dairy, Eggs, and Salt.

Crazy considering I used to eat fruit/veg/rice/pasta/pizza/bread/chocolate etc most days of the week. I now have zero cravings for these foods. If anything I look at them at disgust now lol.
One thing I have noticed is I am starting to dislike and get bored of the taste of chicken, pork and bacon which I always loved the taste of.
So think it will just stick to beef, dairy and eggs mainly from now on.
