This means AI companies can't upsell. It's smart for employers but *catestrophic* for the companies selling model access.

The problem with parental controls, is that my kids are 3 and 5. I don't want them exposed to raw unfiltered internet. But I also know that they *will be*.
This means that parental controls are a war I'm trying to figure out how to let my kids win in the most gentle way possible. I want them to win without feeling smarter and better than me, and like they're invincible. I want them to become aware of the fact that the internet is a complicated place, I don't want them to fear, but I also want them to respect. I dunno - parenting is hard.

I keep my images for 15 days in the cache, because it's rare I need them longer and can refetch. The alt text only is the fallback when the image is missing.

One of the things that is destroying the web is WASM and JavaScript.
This isn't really even a joke - it's literal.
By having all these tools to make a web browser have unfettered access to the system, it becomes unsafe to allow users to generate arbitrary code. We can't have another MySpace or NeoPets User Lookup because we can't allow users to write their own HTML, because that's *dangerous*.

I... use castget to get episodes, put them in an mpd queue and then play the mpd queue to icecast
this... might be... uh... not ideal for many, but it works for me
