I can't judge on anyone.
The path of little resistance and following the majority is a proven way of being safe and successful...
But once I realized freedom is what I crave for combined with current results of what the fiat system accomplished, I refuse to participate let alone support it...
And to be honest not supporting it, paying taxes as sample, is already verry hard to achieve...
Nevertheless breaking away from the fiat system is one of the few things on a bigger scale, I'm prepared to fight for.
And despite trying for more than 10 years already, the difficulty of doing that is still getting more clear.
It is, as always and everything, about finding the right balance between things..... and that also means it will be different for many people.

I think it goes further than words.
Loving freedom money is not enough.
We have to use it, promote it, educate others.
I can't function properly in most societies and refuse (as far as possible right now) to pay taxes since paying taxes is suporting/sustaining the corrupt and insane system.
I'm preparing to move again.
To a place where I even pay less tax than I already do.
Thinking about starting/building a small "Citadel" open to other Bitcoiners and like minded.
Growing our own food, energy "independent" etc.
Could be just a, impossible, dream.
Could be it will turn out to be a disaster.
But I want to give it a try, we are the change !

The number of real Bitcoiners is small.
Not even sure if I would call myself a Bitcoiner despite living on a Bitcoin Standard right now... all time invested in the technology, etc....
That Coldcard entropy disaster made clear again that you can think you do all things right but trusting the wrong thing can simply still be a disaster...

I would like to reply in detail about everything you state but that would take me probably an hour and most likely you will respond and some 10 to a 100 follow-up post will be needed.
So I won't andjust touch one basic aspect.
A physical monetary system in current digital environment is simply impossible.
I hope you agree ?
So some digital form is essential to have current complex society.
Next step is deciding what the best digital form is currently available.
I can't say Bitcoin is perfect, but compared to the fiat system my choice is made.
Also compared to every other alternative my choice is made.
And since I don't know how to improve the Current Bitcoin system, well don't use the latest core releases, run your own node, etc, I'm a toxic Bitcoiner 🫡

Not sure, selling commercial products means you have a responsibility, also backed up by many laws...
But whatever me or you think about it or even what laws state......
The consequences are pretty big.
If we can't trust commercial HW wallets, it basically means all those Bitcoin skeptics are right and Bitcoin is very far from any usable mass adoption.
The whole ecosystem is put back many years in my opinion.
We should be able to verify.
If such most basic functions like seed entropy can be trusted, verified, tested, where does that put normal users ?
I'm by far an expert, but neither average, I bought, used dedicated HW wallets since most advice told me creating your own (high entropy) seed is a complex (at least not trivial task) and main stream HW wallets where good at that function, tested, peer reviewed, etc. Etc.
I'm really disappointed 🤷‍♂️

About those 'reserves':

Instead of receiving tax dollars, the Fed funds itself through the interest earned on these financial assets and remits its remaining net profits directly to the U.S. Treasury.
I don't want to do all the thinking for others, it doesn't work like that.
So please try to find out what they exactly say. Check what those things they mention actually are, and make up your own mind if this is a 'money system' you like to trust exchange for your labor and put your fate in.....

Had another issue with my beloved bank.
Automated support phone would terminate the call every time by referring to their app that couldn't solve it, and the app would refere to the support phone.

I wish I had answers...
In the end only some are smart enough to understand what is the best on technological / implementation level.
And that is on the basis they have "freedom money" on their mind (and understand most implications) and not the many other "motivators 😇", and minds change over time or power or blackmail etc.....
If that was easy we would have no corrupt/distorted persons in any function with power wouldn't we 😶‍🌫️
I can only look at other places with power concentrations, goverments, organizations, multinationals, and literally get shivers at where we are and next where we are going 🤢

I'm in no way a smart mind.
It took me some time to realize decentralized was THE main property in the Blocksize war. Looking back a "no brainer", at the time when I needed to reason about it on my own it wasn't easy.....
"Changing" the protocol has, and always will be, the biggest risk to Bitcoin from the inside.
I have no clue how to fix it else than thinking how to "freeze" the base layer ASAP...
My basic thinking:
As we can see now the forces to chance Bitcoin into something else than "freedom money" are so big we will lose that fight unless we make that fight impossible (freeze the base layer).

It is "interesting" to see how fast we "accepted" the language of the POTUS to use things like:
"Terminate a civilization."
"Bomb the shit out of them."
And so on 😬
Language does have a huge impact..
But it goes way deeper.
It should have been absolutely clear Biden had mental problems.
But somehow it was fully acceptable he was still POTUS.
I even personally had discussions with several people who would look me straight into the eyes and tell me he had a sharp mind, and would clearly become agitated if I would try to point out the opposite....
It was one of those things that needs time to sink in when those discussion happen to me...
Things like this make you realize how strong a believe can influence ones thoughts, even discard/false interpretation own observations..
And most of us have to admit we are not above making those mistakes ourself.
It's not easy but all of us should spend more time on verify and not just trust.
Perhaps especially if our own thoughts and views are concerned.

Fiat numbers are just that, numbers with little absolute meaning.
I only compare it to the MC of a thing like Gold, also that number doesn't mean much anymore but is just a size/strength/impact comparison.
To explain, I'm saying that since the fiat world is so distorted you can't trust it.
First inflation is so huge it makes everything a moving target, and the official reported inflation is not even close to the actual inflation.
Second the amount of fiat created is even way bigger than the realized inflation due to the delay it has on pricing.
Just to give you an idea:
All "value" increase caused on top of, but by inflation, sample, real estate used as investment making prices go up, is fiat creation.
All those IPO's and stocks going up is fiat creation.
Even our beloved Bitcoin going up is mostly fiat creation right now.
Etc etc.
About that last one, it is suppost to take away value from the fiat system (or take over all underlying value that is suppost to be represented by fiat) but to actually do so the fiat has to die..
Hopefully in a slow controlled way but reality could be different (if it succeeds at all 😇).
I did some rough calculation a while back at how much fiat is roughly added by all those mechanisms and it was way bigger than the mostly into account taken official debt numbers and things like M2.....
In my mind that simply means the inflation numbers build in the system at this moment will Dwarf current actual realised inflation numbers but will be realized and are only suppressed by the time delay.
Once you have those rough but insane numbers and apply them to the equivalent Botcoin $-price, it is rather shocking.
Those numbers that seem insane to most, like $ 1 million a coin, are pretty much already backed in the system 🤯.
Hence why some of us are so convinced and are reluctant to use our Bitcoin right now.
On that same note, current fiat in existence is WAY bigger than the actual underlying value by any measurement.
In other non surprising words we are all living far above our means (goverments especially, but due to mentioned effects it goes way beyond that and is by far not just the private debt of people).
So make no mistake.
We HAVE to go back to a sustainable system of sound money at some point.
But it is not going to be a walk in the park for many of us !
No matter how that trajectory in practice will be realized.
The best scenario will be an insane reduction of wealth for most.

It is not that AI has no feature or can't become actually usefull.
The problem is that, again, a new gamble is exploited to the max. The system setup and rigged to pull is as much funny money as possible and since it is funny money, freely created by some, that amount is just insane.
And as usual a few will get extreme 'rewards' no matter if it completely fails, somewhat succeeds, or becomes the next wheel.
The average invester on the other hand will get some crumbs if it succeeds, crumbs that will be taxed by the way, but pay the full price if it fails.
And that rigged casino will continue as long as people keep gambling.

So correction Bitcoin has of course no $ price where it failed nor succeeded.
But simply because he is asking at what PRICE we consider it failed pulled me too easily in that trap.
For me Bitcoin has succeeded since I can pay for everything that I would like to buy, without a third party needed, without having to ask permission to anyone, worldwide, for almost free, and pretty fast especially compared to alternatives....

Haha I think we would have a boring time meeting, too much alignment is 😴
I gave the whole Core 'Issue' many thoughts.
I knew it was one of the biggest risk and just too easy to buy or blackmail their way into it.
So I was more or less waiting for it to happen.
The thought: "The sooner the better"....
Antonopoulos had a nice talk about the insignificance of the Core team in the long run, and since he is way smarter than me, I kind of have to trust on that.
Next there simply is no acceptable alternative.
It is either a dystopian future with CBDC or real money and some freedom...
Bitcoin goes to zero or way up.
I'm so numb that I 'accept' both outcomes but put my effort in a possible Bitcoin future.

Covid was the final call to me.
I just gave up at any expectations on some critical thinking of the everage person.
I had some days I really had to sit down to just grasp what was factually happening and how people responded to that.
I just don't know what will set social unrest in motion.
If current taxation, inflation, and all other insane policies and scandals are not going to trigger it what will ?
Getting out and far away from big concentration of humans is mostly on my mind.

To be honest I'm out of the stock market for some 15-20 years now...
But since some of my best friends are still quite active (I can't explain BTC to them and know pushing won't work nor do I want to) and we keep talking/discussing both, I'm kind of in the loop no matter if I don't care at all 😊
Next I do care about what happens around me, for now, and keeping up without getting the stockmarket input as wel is rather impossible 😇
Next step planned is leaving all shit behind and move to a quiet place, almost pulled the trigger when the bull run stopped way lower than I expected....

So far only Kospi did move substantially lower..
As usual the market wants to deliver maximum pain.
So I suspect some/all of those upcoming IPO's to suck up the remaining liquidity.

That is an accurate take.
Most coins took a property that was under developed in Bitcoin, and just took it to either an extreme like the privacy property or had to put that under developed property on their main layer (scale ability as sample).
Simply because if they would do it on other layers they would have to admit to have no differentiation compared to Bitcoin.
So they all made the same mistake to try to solve those combined impossible properties one layer, or put a minor feature and implemented the whole protocol falsely around that minor feature implemented as main feature with all problems that came with it.
And now Bitcoin has proven to be able to tackle thise issues on a second layer (some scale ability and privacy/anonymity) the window of differentiation is closing fast.
And Bitcoin is just getting started with only that second layer.
Now lets solve the issue of a corrupt Core team and move on 😁

Yes privacy, anonymity is important.
But not as important as other properties of Money.
If it makes things like checking total amount in circulation impossible, using it in every day life (buying a house, land, car and everything else a government is involved) impossible, it is a hard pass for me.
So I see some making these things possible as an upgrade to the original design, to end up with something that tries to resemble what Bitcoin already was...
Bitcoin and Lightning so far provide everything I need.
And sticks closest to the original decentralized nature Satishi envisioned.
When can we realize the world has a natural tendency to move to ONE kind of good money.
Bitcoin has proven to be the one.
Yes it can be better, so lets make that happen in favor of more of the same.

Not so long ago and "Inflation" would bring you directly to the at that time definition "expansion of the monetary base".
That was some 15 to 20 years ago the default.
Since that time it started to point to definitions like "increasing customers prices" and equivalents.
If I want to find the old definition it gets harder and harder, and the last time I tested I had to set the search time to some 20 years back to even find it....

Not surprising at all...
Most effort by far goes into centralizing things.
For many cases centralizing has favorable aspects.
For a few things decentralizing is the only solution.
Most things that improve by centralizing are nice to have.
The few things that need decentralization are essential to humans and freedom.

To me it is the hardest thing to solve....
How can anyone not suspect the, probably, last chance on fair money and in that context last chance at freedom for the average people, would not attract the wrong people, sooner or later.....
It is a Protocol, once up and running, leave it untouched as much as possible.
New stuff should be done like LN on another layer.
