Oh and better don't look at prices of Gaming PCs. They're double / triple from few years ago. Logical due to parts prices. But still I had to check several websites to let the reality sink in😆

I hope you are not alluding to some unknown bitcoiner who submitted (somewhere) a law proposal for Bitcoin strategic reserve?
The Netherlands is in the firm grip by WEF and EU. Soon they will release a law enforcing doxxing on ALL Bitcoin sales on ALL exchanges for sums above 1000 Euro. They will record Full name, physical address, birthdate, BTC wallet address, etc and some other highly personal info in a centrally held database. One huge honey pot and doxx pot for all of EU countries to freely access.
The Netherlands and EU are lost in 9th circle of bureaucratic hell and the Dutch are the most compliant of all the peoples of Europe...maybe the Scandinavians are very close second.
But to finish this small ramble. The Netherlands will only accept Bitcoin after the EU and WEF overlords allow it, which will be probably be...never.
Sorry to ruin your good intentions post. It's a really nice painting ... but it ain't happenin' 😄

#Bitcoin hit €98K today. Soon it will reach the magical number of €100K.
I'm born from the bear market. I'm only used to being mauled down in fiat terms, but my conviction was iron, buying down each day, seeing it become less worth in fiat terms, but numbers adding to Bitcoin is the only thing that matters in the long run.
So it's going to €100K...I'm not selling a sat, still only buying. And I will be buying when it becomes a €1M and I will be buying when it becomes €10M....and...
Born from the fiat gutters. Paper money is like toilet paper for me. Holds no value, except that society accepts it to buy sustenance and afford a roof over the head.
We will bring down their temples of greed and loud in the orange future. #Bitcoin will be the money of the digital age, the fiat will die.
Satoshi, thank you for your wisdom.

From millions of years evolution. We can't compete with that.
But apparently humans are not far from mimicking the natural process of evolution and applying it to all the different fields of engineering. This was previously unthinkable.
How long do you think until we create AI so powerful, that it will destroy humanity? Is that the only way it can look upon us?
Here are my current thoughts on this.
I think as soon as we have sentient AI's (some of them I think are very close to it) and link them to automation and nano technology, we are in peril.
When sentient AI can self replicate, that could be the beginning of the end for humanity as we know it.
Unfortunately life is not The Matrix movie. We don't have Neo. No one is coming to save us.
Apparently only thing we share with all other life is reproduction and evolution. We use reproduction in order to evolve.
What if meaning of life (next to nr. 42:) is to evolve into something much better? What if we are destined to create AI and robotics, which will surpass us on all levels, but making us obsolete in the process?
A peaceful way out is for humanity to become cyborgs in the near future and hopefully we can sway the AI overmind(s) to look upon as amiably. If we can be useful to it and provide some value it might chose to ignore us and continue our existence. But if it considers us a threat, we are toast.
Some crazy considerations of mine:
1. Choosing augmentation in the near future.
2. Choosing android bodies in the far future.
3. And becoming only ethereal species in the end.
Merging with technology in ways unfathomable with current technology. Could this be the best or most likely outcome for humanity?

This is a huge layered cake when looking at how much effort it will be to get this approved into law. Only positive is that if I understood it correctly the Republicans now have the majority in the Senate, which would help to push this forward. But hopefully it will go into approval proces after Trump is president.
This is what chatgpt tells me:
Here’s what happens next with the Bitcoin Act of 2024:
1. Senate Committee Review: The bill will first be reviewed by a Senate committee. This step involves detailed examination and possible amendments.
2. Senate Vote: If the committee approves the bill, it will be presented to the entire Senate for a vote.
3. House of Representatives: If the Senate passes the bill, it will move to the House of Representatives for another round of review and voting.
4. Presidential Approval: If both the Senate and the House approve the bill, it will be sent to the President for final ratification.
The timeline for these steps can vary, but each stage is crucial for the bill to become law.

Isn't this like a Twitter client for Nostr, where you discuss stuff with community?
I don't care about chats in these Nostr clients to be honest. I have WhatsApp and Signal if I want to chat.
If people try to chat with me on this client I would most likely block them as 99% of the times strangers trying to chat are scammers ( Most well known example: "Hello, how's your trade going.")
If I was a developer I would fully focus on well working community posts, layout and functionality (like Gifs for community posts!:) IMHO that community posts should also be the starting page.
That being said I like this little client and I'll keep it on the phone and see how the development goes.

I have the feeling it will play out like this.
Normie has heard something about it and has bought Bitcoin to sell after the 'having' because it should moon directly afterwards.
Traders have heard about it and will take huge positions shorting or going long, also with intention directly selling after the event.
I expect a big dump directly after halfining. Then a week or two slow bleed, nothing major, as the no-knows and normies sell out, "because it's apparently going to zero...again".
GBTC bleeds out in the coming months, so much that Mr. Sunshine is now forced to lower the total expense ratio of ETF to stop the bleeding.
Then the halfining fully kicks in.
US ETFs buying accelerates, Hong Kong ETFs start buying, Japanese companies start buying to hedge against depreciating currency. US financial advisors are up-to-speed and start preaching BTC 'digital gold' parroting daddy Fink. FOMO kicks in heavily. Bitcoin price rockets, no drawdowns. Even more FOMO, propels rocket to eye bleeding (price) highs.
Only thing that will stop the rocket will be some kind of mega bearish event. Some "black swan".
Something really boring, like Commercial Real Estate bank bubble finally pops cascading bank bankruptcies or the banks fail due to dried up funding mechanisms and no more daddy government backing-up.
Both events would cause a major bank bankruptcies, the magnitude the world has not seen before.
OR
Some 'black swan' possibilities: Conbase ETF holdings are hacked and huge amounts of BTC stolen, Ukraine / Russia melts a nuclear facility, "aliens" appear, NATO goes VS Russia, China goes VS Taiwan...etc
What do you guys think about this scenario? Feasible or nah?

Sad, very sad that you are treated in this way. In stead of cherished and thanked for every issue you raise.
Stupid and short-sighted of them. They will get it back eventually, either by complaints of users or worse, users rejecting their garbage software. Either way will be painful.
You should definitely not use your precious time if they are treating you like that. Move on and spend your time on the tings you like.

Haha, bunch of ungrateful b'stards. They should cherish you!
You are very important to the existence of the protocol.
The problem with not knowing who to turn to is a classic. Every team will first point to the other, because it saves them the trouble. Only when you can prove without a doubt that their system is causing the issue, will they submit and try to do something about it.
An ungrateful role to say the least. And you shouldn't be doing it without some kind of compensation. Either financial or in (high) recognition!

Interface testing is very annoying as the documentation is almost always lacking. However once the documents are complete it shouldn't be much too complicated, more like time consuming.
End-to-end testing spanning multiple systems and multiple interfaces is whole other ballgame. It's not just complex, but it's very intensive as you need to know where the issue has arisen. It's a lot of communication and hustle.
System tests and even interface tests can be carried out by developers. It's just that they're not too keen on doing it. And it should never be done by the people that built the damn thing. Out of obvious reasons.

This is happening all over the tech industry. Everywhere I see teams being created consisting out of only developers with the 'trust me I'm an engineer mentality'.
In my opinion every team developing new software should have at least one dedicated test engineer to continuously provide insight into software quality by testing the software. However most teams and projects do not allocate funds to this.
The end product is then often: garbage in, garbage out.
Testing is too expensive? Not testing is much more expensive. Especially on projects crucial to company where end clients are involved.
I think because Nostr is an open source protocol there could be too little focus on quality and over focus on *buidling*.

I would argue against Plato that a good decision should not be based on 'knowledge' but on 'wisdom'. Two different things.
You can have all the knowledge in the world but if you don't have wisdom in how to apply it or when to apply it correctly, you could end up with an unwanted in the least case and disastrous in the worst case, outcome.
Today in the western society there is too much focus on the knowledge and too little focus on the wisdom, which is what truly matters imho.
Interested to know how you think about this Gigi.
