I want an app that’s fun for kids playing sports to be rewarded for hard work.
SatoshiCup.ca
I imagine the coach has a treasury of bitcoin that is distributed to the players throughout the season… nothing big…
I thought about even a lightning wallet that was fun like a digital hockey card of the player, as the player worked hard for points like goals and assist the coach would zap the players wallet with sats…
I tried to develop this for the Under 7 hockey team I coach and have the domain names SatoshiCup… but ya I need help and could pay with some sats

Canada 🍁
2025 Budget:
$80 B deficit.
$1 T “investment.” Over 5 years.
Finance Minister calls it growth. 🤡
It’s debasement. 💰

Or maybe Satoshi Cup could be a digital hockey card for each player with a lightening wallet. When coach zaps the kids for their hard work the kids can see their player card on mom or dads phone app get the rewards

Should I give the kids an opendime and just send a single transaction at the end of the season? And make the website just kind of fun with their stats and a mock leaderboard?

Gen Alpha needs to learn during their early development, the best decision they can make is to work hard and get rewarded with bitcoin; then hold it for 10 years. That where SatoshiCup.ca will fit… but I need help, I want my hockey players U7 to get a decent size UTXO on-chain at the end of the hockey season and a fun kinda website to see their stats and rewards… they can enter early adult phase strong, not like the kids that can’t afford to leave parents basement through no fault of their own.

Hey, I loved reading the article here. I like the style of writing with the pauses to take care of the kids. I can relate to the ideas you put out there, I think we are in a similar stage of life…. Anyway, ‘why would this work?’ and ‘maybe why not?’…
I think it WILL work, I think you should start travelling down the road of writing this book and I like the idea of writing articles on the website too. I bet it would been good for the kids to see doing this project.
Who knows what success will look like, but you seem passionate, good luck…. And I’ll keep reading!

Has anyone tried teaching Bitcoin to kids through their sports teams?
I’ve been thinking about a simple program where every player gets an OpenDime at the start of the season — their first real Bitcoin wallet.
As the season goes on, they earn sats for goals, assists, and effort — small Lightning rewards that make Bitcoin tangible.
They see how proof-of-work → proof-of-reward feels in real life.
By the end of the season, they’ve not just played hockey — they’ve learned money.
Hard work. Scarcity. Saving. Self-custody.
Anyone doing something like this already?

Now that Bitcoin in Canada is sitting at $100,000 CAD, I did some quick math on my fiat salary if Bitcoin hit $1 million CAD. And honestly? The sats I’d be getting paid each year were totally unbelievable. The ratios were out of whack, big time. There’s just not enough Bitcoin to pay everyone in my field at that rate. Like, it doesn’t add up… not even close. Orders of magnitude….
Am I seeing what Jeff Booth talks about with ‘repricing everything’?
