What dunce uses these units? This is the bitcoin reward per watt. So, if you are paying for electricity in sats, which no one is right now hence why you think I am a dunce, then the break even cost for securing the network is going down. Or, the power company is getting a better return and able to build more infrastructure faster, return more profit to shareholders, etc.

Just read the Ledger Recover technical white paper, and it makes clear that the company just made their device irrelevant. What? Let me explain.
An attacker would have to steal your recovery key(s) from your Ledger Live (on your computer or phone), not easy but easier than getting anything off the hardware device. The attacker then spoofs a request from you (using the device or account ID, Ledger doesn't make it clear what it uses to authenticate the request), but this is not likely to be more difficult than getting the key(s). That's it. Your device is irrelevant. Wait, what happened?
Yes, all the TLS tunnels and splitting the keys into three parts are all security best practices but are completely irrelevant if someone just goes for the jewels. In other words, by subscribing to Ledger Recover, you are now relying on the security of the Ledger Live app, or whatever recover software Ledger implements. You have given up on the safety of your hardware chip(s). There is no difference in this and just having a software wallet.
So, if you plan on buying a Ledger device and then implementing Ledger Recover - I'm sorry, but you are an idiot. Maybe Ledger will stop making hardware devices and just become a SaaS? No matter how you slice it, the company is making a huge security compromise with this service. By converting to software controls, it increases attack surface and reduces the main controls/risk mitigation the company was founded on, which are hardware controls.

So… the thing about going on NOSTR is I will zap ⚡️ It happens every time. Same as going out in a city, it’s like I can’t go there without paying for something.
Now, the interesting thing is would this be beneficial for teens? Social media has been ravaging them since 2012-13. Of course, most of you would have to clean it up a bit before I would let my teen on here, but there may be a solution in there somewhere. Run out of cash and do something productive instead of just spending on entertainment.

There is no criticism of #BTC transactions that does not apply to cash in general. It makes criminal ransomware attacks easier, but also more traceable. From experience, it benefits utilities' business despite pushback based on propaganda grade "reduce your energy" thinking.

The problem with peer-to-peer exchanges is you have no idea who you are dealing with and that is a huge risk. Let me explain: you think nothing of buying $1000 of bitcoin from some anon. A month later the FBI is knocking on your door because your bank account made a transaction to a known human trafficker. Oh S*|+! I thought I was just buying some no KYC sats. FBI, “tell that to the judge.” Is there a solution to this problem that I don’t know about?

The 1M in 90 days narrative is not going to help adoption. I have worked in sales, and that is not how it’s done. People want something trustworthy and stable. (Great irony that BTC is trustless.) Correct. IMO it could be called the Lightning Internet because the topology reflects that of the Internet. Each node can function like a router, and some organizations have multiple connected routers. It is more granular to describe it as above, “many payment channels between distinct peers,” but that description is not entirely accurate, again IMO, unless you substitute ‘hosts’ for ‘peers.’

Yes you will see the routing fee. If you pay a 77 sat invoice and pay a 1 sat routing fee 78 sats will be deducted from your account. All routing fees are paid by the payment originator. Most a public node can earn on routing fees right now is around 1% many earn much less than that (0.01%) or simply route as a hobby. Try zapping someone with an address that is not WoS and you may see a fee.

As a headhunter it was my job to disqualify people with ADHD. Many were able to go off meds by slowly reducing their dose and eventually cutting out the meds all together. I was a big proponent of blaming the doctors who prescribed the meds, but most of the people said it was because their parents didn't want to parent and encouraged the doctors to do something because their kids had a problem. 🙄
