One could make a reasonable argument the US Dollar, backed by the US government, is already in a state of collapse and has been mostly replaced or at least overshadowed by the Eurodollar aka dollars created by foreign banks.

As someone from way outside the system of finance, I've taken a deep dive trying to understand both the current world financial system and Bitcoin.
I'm still no expert, but a few things stand out.
1. The problems of the US dollar and the US government are not necessarily one and the same. If the US dollar were to somehow vaporize into thin air, it is entirely possible the dollar would continue to exist and perhaps even flourish.
2. The dollar is a worldwide ledger system that can potentially have remarkable staying power as it is backed by debt even though reserve requirements seem to have mostly going away entirely.
3. Our current banking system existed well before the Federal Reserve and the dollar as we know it. I will continue to exist after the Federal Reserve is gone.
4. Even if we were to go to a hard money Bitcoin standard and/or some sort of truly free market system, it is not unthinkable that fractional reserve banking could continue to exist. In fact, it may be inevitable.
5. It seems clear that the US dollar/eurodollar will continue to strengthen in relation to other currencies around the world.
6. It is possible that the US dollar managers could mess it up by doing things like weaponizing it as they did with Russia.
7. The US Federal reserve has little real power but significant influence.
8. Treasuries are bought around the world as a hedge against devaluation of collapsing currencies and for other reasons as a safe haven virtually ensuring a robust treasury market well into the future, probably at least through the rest of this decade which will likely allow the US government to continue It's drunken course of unrestrained spending.
9. Bitcoin seems like it is here to stay but will likely coexist alongside the US dollar and be incorporated into the current banking system.
10. Even if Bitcoin reaches mass market adoption, we may still be swiping Visa cards and have access to dollars.
11. How the US government financial crisis will end is far from certain. I'm leaning towards some sort of hard default. Given that the current administration is poking Texas with a stick right now with immigration policy, I could see a situation where if states were to secede, the government would hard default on certain debts and obligations as the states deciding to secede would be very unlikely to choose to take the debt with them and the remaining states would probably be unlikely to want to retain it assuming a significant loss of revenue from multiple states. A scenario like this playing out sometime within the next 50 years seems entirely plausible to me. But how this ends, is far from a foregone conclusion. The only thing that is certain is that it is not ultimately sustainable forever.
12. Given the significant uncertainty, these are times to increase your personal and family's resilience in every way.

Drug and substance abuse, poverty, access to necessities and services, over-criminalization and high arrest rates, taxes, fines, and systemic discrimination against poverty,, broken families and absentee parents, insufficient housing and transportation, obesity and poor mental health, lack of access to financial services and jobs, generational history of poverty and oppression etc.

Compared to other diets, I see people with carnivore having amazing success rates.
However, I see five common and easy to avoid problems people have getting on the diet in the first few weeks and even months.
One not eating enough
Two too much fat (excess diarrhea) or too little fat (low energy)
Three not enough salt or electrolytes early on
Four not using the diet as an elimination diet in the beginning to test for any food sensitivities.
Five some people say they don't like meat or otherwise have difficulty preparing meat based meals they enjoy. Probably 50 to 75% of these issues can be solved by better cooking skills.

I just ordered another book on timber framing. I have several projects to do and timber framing seems like an interesting option. Plus I have timber available and I'm already into old fashioned hand tool woodworking.
Where I'm kind of getting hung up is that I would like to do an infill that is breathable such as straw bale with natural plaster or something similar with good insulative value. I'm still thinking about that...

You're looking for a naturally produced oil like lard or tallow, not a seed oil like corn oil or vegetable oil or any of the natural oils that are commonly diluted with seed oils, with a flavor profile you enjoy and a high enough smoke point that you won't burn it.
Mostly it is whatever is handy. Butter has a significant amount of water and a low smoke point but if you clarify it, it raises the smoke point by roughly 100°F.

Not wrong. Obviously there are lots of smart people into Bitcoin and nostr. Perhaps less obviously there are a lot of people in these groups who are paleo/keto/ketovore/carnivore/low-carb or otherwise interested in lifestyles that make their brain, emotions, and body work better.
Honestly the connection is significant and quite intriguing.
I'm a middle aged dude with a dad bod, but I went carnivore about 5 months ago to improve my metabolic health, and the mental and physical changes have been truly impressive and are still compounding.

I'm not sure at all what you're dealing with, but my first idea would be to find a way to use it as it is or with minor modifications. Perhaps plant something like willow or bamboo that is water tolerant, build a little pond, or alternatively create ridges that rise above the boggy area but that can take advantage of the water.
Throughout much of the US Midwest a lot of agricultural fields were drained using field tile; back in the day it was clay tiles and today they use a special plastic pipe that has holes in it. There is a special shovel called a tile shovel or tile Spade that is long and narrow just for digging trenches to bury things like this.

One of the more disappointing things about legacy social media is how it is tuned for reactions.
One way we see this is how good questions very often go unanswered while the worst questions by the dumbest people get tons of responses.
For example, in a restaurant group if someone asks a question about where to get a part for a piece of equipment and gives sufficient details to provide an informed answer, very often it won't even be shown to enough people to have a chance at getting an answer.
And then when someone comes along and says, "Hey, my restaurant isn't, what do I do?" They get hundreds of responses and the dumb algorithms keep promoting it.

Yes, go carnivore. It's easier and far more people seem to be successful with it, and if you dial it all the way back to just meat for the first 3 weeks and then add in other things slowly it serves as an elimination diet as well to help tease out food intolerances.

There are a few people who do seem to be happy working nights. But the vast majority of people should not do it for any extended period of time. Even one or two nights a month disrupts your sleep for most of the month and keeps your bio rhythm dysregulated.
Second shift is a different matter in my opinion, and there are a good number of people who seem to adapt well to it.

I've been working to get up to speed on woodland management practices. This weekend, I was able to attend a nearby woodland workshop put on in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation, and that Ozark woodland property showed similar processes happening after nine years of careful thinning and prescribed fire. The difference is remarkable.
If you live east of Springfield, MO, there is an effort to get a prescribed burn association going for our area that looks like it is going to get some traction this year!

Over 4 months enjoying the magic of carnivore/very low carb. I'm going to have to shop for a new belt right away. I'm going to hold off on pants and shirts although I can definitely go down at least a full size.
I know I didn't post a full body picture, but the reality is the metabolic function, energy, cognitive function, lowered inflammation, and body composition changes are more dramatic for me than the weight loss. And these were all things I felt like I just couldn't make much progress on in spite of my knowledge and efforts.

Clean keto can be great, but there is a certain magic to the carnivore diet.
1. Carnivore is an elimination diet and can be great for teasing out food intolerances and sensitivities.
2. It is simple and easy.
3. It can be more affordable than most keto., and as affordable as the average Standard American Diet
4. It is nutritionally dense.
5. It is not a calorie restricted diet.
6. It is easy for most people to shop for and learn to prepare.
7. Minor cheats will stall progress, but for most people they won't derail progress. It's easy to just go back and keep going.
The main things I see people struggle with on carnivore are
1. Not eating fat, and not eating enough food in general, especially early on.
2. Not getting enough electrolytes (mainly a good sea salt, but also magnesium and even potassium in some cases)
3. Not leaning heavy enough to meat from ruminants such as beef.
4. People who have Alpha Gal symptoms are probably going to have to do something different.
5. Some people are sensitive to excessive histamines, an issue that is mostly easily avoidable.
6. Cooking. Some people really don't know how to cook meat. Greasy smashburgers, ribeyes, and YouTube are your friends.
7. Eggs, cheese, and dairy. Many carnivores eat some of these, as do I, but they are common food intolerances. Many carnivores recommend cutting them out for the first three weeks and then adding them in one at a time to see if you react negatively.
With keto, there are a lot more ways to go wrong, and it is a lot more complex to maintain. The advantage is that it allows many, many more foods. And to be fair, Carnivore is one version of a keto diet. Similar diets include BBBE, Lion Diet, ketovore,, low carb/no carb, and, in some cases, paleo.
As I see it, for me, the carnivore diet has been a healing diet for the non-descript maladies of mitochondrial/metabolic breakdown so common to middle age in our society. A low carb diet won't fix everything for everyone, but it is one of the biggest factors most of us can easily control.
Also some of us have family members with multiple sensitivities and restricted diets, and adding one more crazy thing into the mix just isn't realistic. So for me, clean keto just wasn't practical. Carnivore was, and when I make my food, except for butter, eggs, and dairy, it is food I can also share with the entire family.
