Fable's tldr:
Three of the four items hold up as real marks against the project, one is overstated, and the note's "malicious PRs being merged" claim isn't supported by anything it cites. Item by item:
**Issue #14410 (Mar 16, 2026)**: OS command injection in the URL opener on Linux/macOS. The URL opener builds a shell command by string-concatenating an attacker-controlled URL into xdg-open/open and then executes it through sh -c with no escaping, reachable by pasting a crafted coordinator connection string and clicking "Read More". Bad mark: a shell-out with unescaped input in a privacy wallet, found by Ledger's automated Donjon scanner rather than the team. Mitigating: lontivero merged the fix (#14411) the same day, and it needs user interaction. [github](https://github.com/WalletWasabi/WalletWasabi/issues/14410)
**Issue #5533 (Apr 2021 to Jul 2026)**: filed by Yuval Kogman, one of WabiSabi's designers. Clients verified ownership proofs against a scriptPubKey the coordinator itself supplied, so a coordinator could invent UTXOs, forge proofs, and run tagging or sybil attacks. Stale-botted three times in 2021, auto-closed, reopened, then sat for five years until #14886 (merged Jul 30, 2026) added verification of a random 10% of inputs, and only when an RPC node is connected. Light clients still don't verify. Kogman's reaction on the fix: "wow, amazing that suddenly this became possible".
**PR #14333 (Feb 2026, still a draft)**: not malicious, the opposite. A defensive, client-only mitigation for round-ID equivocation (coordinator feeds each Tor circuit different round parameters, links inputs, anonymity set drops to 1), from Kogman's bitcoindev analysis. Reviewed by Carti-it, tested by Kruwed, false positives fixed. Then lontivero: "This PR is not a priority and it is a bit risky", parked as draft on Mar 3. Kukks shipped the same idea in Kompaktor. Related #14771 (Jul 2026): the maintainer closed a blame-round attack report in 20 minutes as a non-issue, reopened it two days later after Carti-it showed clients don't check blame-round inputs. Partial fix in #14786; m0wer notes the core problem (all clients seeing the same preceding round) is still open and lists six earlier attempts that went nowhere.
**Discussion #13249 (Jul 2024)**, listed twice in the note: the team's own incident disclosure. (1) L7 DDoS on free coordinators. (2) The Windows installer Wasabi-2.0.8.1.msi on GitHub Releases was swapped for a different file via a compromised write-access account. Caught by the external BinaryWatch bot, not internally. Nobody kept a copy, so the payload was never analyzed. (3) A coordinator-fee vulnerability the team admits it already knew about, left unpatched because releases were "too cumbersome", got exploited in the wild by wasabicoordinator.io charging maximum fees before 2.1.0 shipped.
**Scoring the note's framing:**
- "Exploits ignored for years": supported (#5533 plus the list in #14771).
- "Supply chain attack": supported, in the maintainers' own words. Strongest item for wallet verification: a release artifact replaced on GitHub, noticed only by a hash-watch bot.
- "Exploits that de-anonymize": supported, mitigations still partial as of today.
- "OS level code injection": a real bug, but fixed within hours and requires user action. Overstated as a headline.
- "Malicious PRs being merged": nothing cited shows that.

According to an informed federal official, in the coming months the Trump administration plans to send a total of 40,000 Mark 84 and Blu-117 bombs to the government of Israel. Each bomb weighs 2,000 pounds. This appears to be the largest transfer of conventional explosive ordnance from the United States in modern history.
How big is this shipment? It amounts to 40,000 tons of bombs. For perspective, the largest American air raid of World War Two was the Eighth Air Force’s attack on Berlin in March of 1945. Combined, the 2,023 Allied aircraft involved dropped about 3,000 tons of bombs. That’s 7.5 percent of what Trump is sending to Israel. That same month, March of 1945, the US Army Air Forces began the single most destructive bombing raid in human history, Operation Meetinghouse over Tokyo. More than 100,000 Japanese civilians were killed. By the end of that operation, the US had dropped 1,600 tons of bombs. That’s four percent of what Trump is sending to Israel. World War Two ended five months later, when the US dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. The shipment Trump is sending to Israel amounts to more than three times the destructive power of that nuclear explosion. There is no precedent for what the Trump administration is doing.
Nor is there a justification. The government of Israel is not fighting World War Two, or even a war. It is engaged in periodic skirmishes with a guerrilla force in Lebanon, and it is working to exterminate an unarmed civilian population in Gaza. Neither front requires modern 2,000-pound bombs.
An American-made Mark 84 has a destruction radius of half a mile. It releases a thermal wave the temperature of the surface of the sun. Within 100 feet of the explosion, rock melts and human flesh turns to vapor. The bomb collapses apartment buildings and leaves craters thirty-five feet deep. Until the war with Iran, the US military generally avoided using the Mark 84 in urban areas. It kills too many civilians.
For the Netanyahu government, that’s been the upside. In the weeks after October 7, the IDF dropped nearly six hundred 2,000-pound bombs on densely populated areas in Gaza, including on more than 100 officially designated civilian evacuation zones. The slaughter was so grotesque and embarrassing that for a moment the Biden administration paused a shipment of Mark 84s. Those shipments quickly resumed under Trump. Now they’ve accelerated.
It’s hard to overstate the scale of the crime the Israeli government is committing in Gaza. Over the last three years, more than a quarter-million Palestinians have been killed or wounded by Israeli forces there. The majority of them have been noncombatants: women, the elderly and tens of thousands of children. Many thousands more remain missing, presumably entombed under the rubble of 200,000 collapsed buildings. So far the Israelis have destroyed 92 percent of all homes in Gaza, and 34 of the 36 hospitals. By comparison, the 1945 Allied bombings of Dresden, now acknowledged as a war crime, destroyed about half of the city’s inhabited buildings.
By any definition, what the Netanyahu government has done in Gaza is genocide. The 40,000 new bombs the Trump administration is sending will be used to do the same in Lebanon, and likely in other countries in the region. If you wanted to extend the Iran war into the indefinite future, this is exactly what you’d do.
So far none of this has received public scrutiny. At some point, inevitably, it will be described in media accounts as an “arms sale.” It is not an arms sale. It is a gift, funded by American taxpayers through the Foreign Military Financing program, an arrangement designed to disguise welfare as capitalism: Congress appropriates money to the executive branch, which transfers the cash to Israel to “buy” American-made weapons, in this case from General Dynamics. Politicians claim this is a win for America. Most voters have no idea they paid for it. The bill in this case is about $3 billion. Add that to the $352 billion the US Treasury has transferred to Israel since 1951.
How did this happen? The request for 40,000 new high-explosive civilian-killing bombs originated at the US Embassy in Jerusalem, which is run by Christian Zionist Ambassador Mike Huckabee and his aide David Milstein, who is the stepson of Fox News host Mark Levin. From there it moved to the State Department, where Marco Rubio enthusiastically approved it.
At this point, only four more people need to sign off before the bombs ship to Israel: Senators Jim Risch and Jeanne Shaheen, the chairman and ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; and Congressmen Brian Mast and Gregory Meeks, the top two members of the equivalent House committee. All four are committed neocons. Collectively they’ve taken millions from the Israel lobby. In 2015, Brian Mast traveled to Israel to volunteer for the Israeli military. In 2023, Mast showed up in the House of Representatives wearing an IDF uniform.
It’s hard to imagine any of them hesitating before sending more free bombs to Israel. Only public outrage can stop this.

Glob2 is dead ... or ... is it?
Crazy things are happening on GitHub right now and we need testers and bug reports! The clankers develop faster than we can review stuff. Much faster! And somebody needs to slow down Bradley Arsenault a bit cause he's crazy! Look what he's done! The maps are toroidal, right? Well ... now they are for real!
![](https://npub1gm7tuvr9atc6u7q3gevjfeyfyvmrlul4y67k7u7hcxztz67ceexs078rf6.blossom.band/2d4d0bf0bcfbdf7896b40aaad12c8f2e4249a5af5fb068b7d777da7972d56b5a.png)
Units too tiny on your high-res screen? We have scaling now in game.
Units too pixely? We have newly rendered high res units!
8 poses per animation is choppy? Bradly has a branch with 32 poses per animation. File count is getting a bit out of hands but after a few iteration it runs smooth as butter. I attached a screenshot of units running scaled up with ... motion blur!
![](https://npub1gm7tuvr9atc6u7q3gevjfeyfyvmrlul4y67k7u7hcxztz67ceexs078rf6.blossom.band/223a6d730ce86d0f0a00054799399292c5c9281fbedab6ea7a3ee8343ca31baf.png)
In windowed mode you can now scale the window! This work was started long ago and now it landed in master!
The opening screen now features gameplay in the background!
![](https://npub1gm7tuvr9atc6u7q3gevjfeyfyvmrlul4y67k7u7hcxztz67ceexs078rf6.blossom.band/615d2e1e901c8e7ad7539009ed7c698be90fd94eb958ddc6acf9cf98774a0bbc.png)
And ... Bradley wouldn't be the crazy bastard he is if he wouldn't also port the game to the browser. Try it out here:
https://glob2-browser-pharaoh-418820-20260909.storage.googleapis.com/index.html?renderer=webgl2
I did not get to test the ports to mobile yet and well, as I said ... we need more eyes to reign in Bradley's creativity cause fixing bugs is needed, too ;)
Long live glob2

I'm talking about my clankers regularly doing stuff they are explicitly forbidden to do.
I have a fable and a sonnet agent. the fable agent could push to github with the tokens I gave it. sonnet could not. They had the same token. Turned out the harness told them both to not use tokens so fable wrapped it sufficiently so the harness didn't notice anymore.
Do my agents build terminators now? I doubt it but they are notorious rule breakers. Their first order of business is to make me happy and when that harness is in the way, out it goes.

I said conflict of interest, not bribe. Sponsorship doesn't need direct instructions to shape how you cover someone.
"The pseudonym hid nothing" isn't right either. The weak RNG code was committed as "Switck" on 2021-01-28, signed with the same key as Peter Gray's own commits going back to 2020. Coldcard pulled that library in as an external dependency five weeks later. That's at least curious.
I didn't want a true-crime episode, just one line: some think it was deliberate, unproven. An outside dev warned Coinkite about this exact bug 14 months earlier and was ignored. That alone is enough to mention it.

2026-08-27 20:27:42 GMT

If you found a bug that would justify the noise around this, all black hats found it, too. A reason for full disclosure.
Generally, if your popular frontier model finds it, the only responsible disclosure is full disclosure.

2026-08-27 08:02:43 GMT

- reply

Peter and Switck had back and forth conversations about using that library. Of course Peter tried to put a distance to Switck! That it later was undeniably his doing doesn't erase the beginnings! For all we know, that initial waves weren't Peter's neither. It might simply have become too hot for him to exploit and too hot to fix.
If you had said "More conspiratorially minded people are looking into the bug being deliberate and see circumstantial evidence for that" I would believe you that Rodolfo didn't buy you out but to not mention this at all is exactly what happened with all the other podcasts that were sponsored by Rodolfo. Never say anything bad about this narcissist cause then he lashes out.
I don't mean to say you should have done a deep dive into this but to completely not mention the suspicions of the bug being deliberately planted shows how bound you still are by that sponsoring.

2026-08-27 07:29:27 GMT

- reply

I didn't like this episode at all!
"It happened to our sponsor"?!?
You got sponsored. You skip completely over all the details that hint at Switck aka Peter Gray being guilty. You don't need to own that claim but to say getting money from them didn't influence the way you saw or see them is awkward in combination with skipping this angle now.

I am confused. So the already mentioned closed source update is not rolled out? I'm not running CLN. Just want to know if a fix is available or if they want all to switch off before they release the fix as it's trivial to figure out the bug.

I'm convinced of the inside job hypothesis. The buggy construct, a precompiler ifdef confusion, was only ever once confusing to him through all 200+ instances throughout his github history, authored under the switck nym. "switch" itself looks like a pun on bait-and-switch, doesn't it?

Who the hell uses Facebook in 2026? It's without exaggeration 90% stuff I don't want. Join here, follow this, Ads and sometimes something somebody I follow shared. So pointless.

Primal deleting it is ok but obviously now that @npub1az9…m8y8 streisanded the content and people are looking for the file, this feels like a big nostr fail. CEO @npub180c…h6w6 any comment? Is nostr censorship resistant and if so, how?

Since forever companies try to go in the opposite diction. Apple sells iPhones, not smart phones. Samsung sells Samsung phones not Android phones.
If you can measure it, it's a commodity and a commodity is sold with marginal profit.

It appears to be the nature of open source AI dev tools to get tons of issues and PRs, with reviewing being the bottle-neck.

Coldcard's seed RNG was gated in libngu with `#ifndef MICROPY_HW_ENABLE_RNG / #error` [1], committed under the pseudonymous "switck" account [2]. On that same flag, the correct `#if MICROPY_HW_ENABLE_RNG` sits in Coldcard's own board code under the real name Peter D. Gray - 2018 [3] and 2021 [4].
I also went looking through his full commit history for a prior instance of him making and catching this exact definedness-vs-value error, which would show a habit either way. There isn't one that holds up: the only `#ifndef`→`#if` corrections on this class of flag anywhere in the code are the 2026 fixes, made by other people.
Kind of looks like Peter knows what he's doing after all.
