idk the one that came installed with fedora lol
it doesn't launch from the command line in this case and honestly it does seem like a bit of an issue anyway if i don't know how to locate a program that the thing can execute

oh, and amending to this: if anyone can help me find remote work, i think that might be an absolute best case scenario in this situation; i'd be eligible for digital nomad visas and would already have the income problem solved. i'm looking at any and all paths here but that would probably be one of the best ones, it would solve all the immediate problems

thanks for the wishes <3 and for the advice. i hope lawyers aren't too expensive whenever i end up somewhere... also, for absolute clarity here, i'm not trans youth, i'm 31, and i'm not broke broke, but i couldn't show up anywhere without some kind of long term plan already set (ie i have nowhere near enough to afford any kind of rent or hotel stay that's more than a few days) (+my income situation has been Rough for a good while, but at this point i'm going to cut down as many expenses as possible)

2024-11-06 22:07:22 GMT

ok i think i actually need a pinned for this.
i desperately need a track out out of the US, i'm trans and don't have loads of money, i'm a pre-early-career software engineer and i'm in school. i need:
- ideas
- somewhere to go
- opportunities
- money
- anything else that might help
if any of my friends abroad would let me live with them:
- i will be respectful, i'm easy to coexist with
- i will be doing whatever it takes to work out the visa situation (job, school, etc) (continuing education wherever i end up is definitely a goal if possible)
if anyone has opportunities (job, apprenticeship, internship):
- stateside is absolutely an option in my head; if nothing works and i need to survive here then i have to build my skills and CV to have a shot at a visa in the future
my goal is not to be dependent on anyone long term, but i will need help if i'm going to survive and reach that point. i'm looking at this from all angles and i'm considering anything that gets me out sooner or improves my odds. thank you
