@npub1a24…etnp they’re free enough to travel to England? If they don’t want their faces filmed don’t leave China I don’t know. Their personal choices shouldn’t impact this guys rights in England. Especially since they were safe, clearly privileged (traveling outside China) and being filmed by 100 other cameras at that time.

@npub1gv8…uu0q will those third party browser engines support ad blockers and content blockers? will they commit to not tracking users? Will they utilize the anti-tracker tech Apple has in Safari? Will they automatically use iCloud private relay to shield my IP from all websites?
if the answer is no to any of the above it's a complete non-starter for me.

I’m not clicking on just anyone’s third party payment link and handing my billing info over to some third party. Apple already has mine… I wonder when we will hear about the first abuse or malicious use of this by someone.
Apple also says they must disclose if the payment page URL changes, sounds to me like perfectly reasonable security and safety checks. I want people to apply for this.

@npub1utv…87lr and how is this different for an android phone or other phone where someone steals the phone and password etc? 🤔 this doesn’t seem unique to Apple or iMessage. I’ve seen Google delete peoples gmails for random reasons too or delete all their photos cause they felt like it.

@npub1utv…87lr if your phone is stolen you can disable it via AppleID/iCloud or via your cellular carrier. This is no different than with an android phone with SMS/MMS really. The website to deregister your number from iMessage is very straight forward.
Same thing would happen with say Signal, Telegram or WhatsApp I guess….

@npub1utv…87lr isn’t it super simple to turn off iMessage and SMS / MMS as enabled by default and have to be explicitly turned off.
In fact it even asks you during iPhone setup if you wish to turn iMessage on. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@npub178r…qekt is it me or does the light reflecting off the concrete surface look quite pleasant in your photo. Is it tinted/toned? I know you use the Phase One system but your photos always seem to make these concrete structures look a bit softer than I imagined them.

@npub1lrv…tth9 Apple is actually working with the standards bodies to add universal end to end encryption for anyone to use. Right now RCS has no encryption and Googles implementation uses their servers and “bolt on” encryption controlled by Google. Soon GSMA / RCS standard will have E2E. iMessage is still more secure than RCS. If anything RCS needlessly omits encryption as a feature out of the gate.
