One of the issues I commonly have with #fedi (and social media generally) is that it's a river and once posts flow out of sight they I frequently cannot re-find them, even if they have spurred me to take real action.
Just today I noticed a post about a book (I think someone mentioned that they had been asked to review it) and it spurred me to write a #wikipedia article on the book https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Untold_Intimacies but I now cannot find the post to say "this post spurred me to right a wikipedia article."
Does anyone know of a social media interface that solves this kind of thing effectively? Ideally a #mastodon client, but I'm open to persuasion.

Someone should leave a dozen copies of the #RomeStatute around for Trump to sign by accident.

So there's a #wikipedia election. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Arbitration_Committee_Elections_December_2025/Candidates
Anyone know if any of the candidates has taken anti-fascism or anti-racism stances, ever?

Does the German government have a mechanism for recovering the money from the employer?
Depending on the mechanism it may be interesting to see that applied to the USA.

#PRONOM is the database of file formats.
#DRIOD is a software implementation that uses the file identification aspect of the PRONOM to do file identification
#JHOVE is the software that mortals use to integrate DRIOD into larger information systems.
I think.

If you're a computer-toucher and regularly interact with an obscure file format of any kind, please consider submitting that format to #PRONOM.
PRONOM is like the linux 'file' command, but _way_ more more comprehensive. It's used by archivists on things like web crawls, etc.
Search it at https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/pronom/BasicSearch/proBasicSearch.aspx?status=new

A long time ago on twitter I maintained a bot that tweeted newly-minted PhDs in New Zealand Uni's institutional repositories.
https://twitter.com/kiwiphds [not going to log in to check what it looks like now, don't care.]
Would something like that be welcome on fedi? Would any of the big NZ fedi instances be likely to block it?
I'd host it on a bot-friendly instance, naturally.
