I've gotten a couple free games on GOG, but haven't delved into it as much. Definitely would prefer supporting them over other game stores/launchers. I play a mix of games new and old/lower reqs, and usually stick with titles I like for a long while. Going to be making the switch to Linux for my next desktop build, so I'm sure that will change what I have available, but I'm okay with that.

I literally have a Thursday reminder to take the 2min to check what's free. A large chunk are indy titles I've never heard of but particularly around holidays they'll often put out AAA games and even rotate free games daily for a week. GTA 5 being free in 2020 got me to check it out, and they've had plenty of other franchises free like Tomb Raider, Fallout, Bioshock, and many more.

I've been actively on the job search for over 8 months post-layoff and can barely get interviews for software engineering positions, much less an offer, with over a decade of experience. Today, my wife said I need to take a break because she can tell what a toll it's been taking on me, and her car got totaled in an accident last week. Message received.
I'm exhausted but can't get a full night's sleep. I can't even focus on things I enjoy for their own sake that I want to do.
