Tested positive 😭 I’m legitimately terrified. I have a chronic illness, and I still feel winded rather quickly after getting Covid for the first time last summer which had me out for about two weeks. I’m fairly active and go on intense hikes all the time. The difference in my capabilities is night and day. I don’t feel as awful as I did last time but it’s still not great. Haven’t been able to break this fever.

Was finally able to check in after over an hour.
Soon after I got pulled away by someone with TSA who said I was their "special guest" today. First they took me to the side of TSA and made me remove all of my electronics to prove that they turn on. After this, he took my phone from me and escorted me to a security line that was closed off to everyone else. This was all already so odd that everyone was starting. I went thru one of the detector things twice, then they made me go thru a second one. After that they pulled me aside to do an invasive pat down and then I waited as they inspected all of items one by one and swabbed everything for explosive reside.
someone with DHS came over to me as l waited to chat it up. He was acting like my friend and was even flirting a bit it seemed, and "casually" getting in questions about my plans, where I'm staying, who I'm staying with, if I was alone or not.

I don’t really know what to say right now, and I don’t think posting “we told you so” over and over again is helpful, but fuck if it isn’t tempting!
It’s been way too many years of antifascists sounding the alarm and being ignored. Of antifascists fighting back against nazis only to be condemned, demonized, and disproportionately targeted by the State and arrested while they look the other way for white supremacists unleashing violence on our communities and seeking to destroy democracy. People have been ignoring us because their lives have been too convenient and unaffected to care. They’ve been ignoring cries about a fascist police state because they think if they don’t immediately see people in camps then people are just being dramatic. This fascism has been a “slow” burn. I use quotation marks because for some people it has been anything but slow- not everyone has the privilege of living their lives unaffected by the systems of oppression we’re forced to operate in. Not everyone has the privilege of being unaffected by fascism.
What happens when it does finally affect those who refused to see it, but there’s no one left to fight? People need to stop clinging to norms that have long been tossed out by the GOP. The democrats are sure as hell not going to fight for us. It’s on us and only us to build our communities and fight fascism.

I don’t think people really realize what Arabs in America go thru. I can’t fly anywhere (even within the US!!) without having to get to the airport at LEAST 4 hours early, being escorted by TSA, have every single one of my items inspected by an explosives specialist, getting interrogated, and what takes 45 minutes for others takes 3 hours for me. This is just one small example and has happened to me at least 6 times since October 2023.
When my teta who does not speak English came back from Syria last summer, they held her and interrogated her for over 8 hours without an interpreter.

On June 5th at a Portland Commitee on Community-Engaged Policing meeting that was DOJ and city sanctioned, Portland police chief Bob Day was asked about his remarks about arresting activists for the sole purpose of identifying them, gathering information on their circles and using that information for "leverage." Chief Day lied and stated that "we don't arrest people for leverage" and that he wasn't sure what the question was referring to. He made these remarks one month prior to being asked this question. All cops do is lie. Good thing his remarks were all on video, not that there will be any consequences.
Reminder- not two weeks after these comments were made, activists were arrested and brutalized for jay walking and standing on sidewalks. There was no dispersal order given, nor was there even a protest really as the arrests started the moment people arrived and the cops didn’t let up until the group self dispersed. There was no vandalism, no destruction of property, no violence. Just police being the fascists they are and escalating as they always do. I say this not to condemn property destruction, but to remind people of the fallacy that “nonviolent” protests results in a non violent response from the State. It literally doesn’t matter.

There was a march people thought was to disrupt fleek week in portland today. The march ended up staying on the sidewalks (security for the protest kept forcing people to stand in two single file lines lol) and leading to a banner drop while everyone chanted on a bridge where no one outside of the group could hear them, and it was a good distance away from where the fleet week stuff is. A small group broke off and walked over to the waterfront where the navy, coast guard, fbi, PPB and MCSO are tabling.

I think it’s hilarious that people keep talking about my upcoming trial in August regarding the proud boy counter protest and are insisting it’s been delayed so many times because it’s a tactic I’m using to avoid trial…the first delay was because my legal counsel changed and they needed to get caught up- discovery for this case is massive. After that, every single delay was because of some bullshit with the State. The most recent delay happened 3 days before my trial was supposed to begin in March. The Friday before at my pretrial hearing they said they didn’t have enough judges to start Monday.
They intentionally draw this shit out because the process is part of the punishment.
It’s been 3 years. An excruciating, stressful, sometimes debilitating, and monetarily draining 3 years. I want nothing more than to get this over with already.

For some background, Portland has a history of violent fascists coming into town in late August to try and hold hate rallies and assault & harass community members. Portland antifascists have repeatedly shown the fuck up, disrupted these attempts and fought back. When I say they’ve fought back, I don’t say it lightly. Some of these events got insanely brutal but people continued to defend our community by any means necessary. At the most recent one, Proud Boys unleashed an insane amount of violence, including flipping over a van and bear macing people in their vehicles, and they still got pushed out of town. You might remember this as the day PB Tiny got blasted with an extinguisher filled with paint rendering him incapable of fighting (not to be confused with Tiny getting blasted with a live round).
The refusal to back down regardless of how intense things got by antifascists has resulted in the violent fascists to virtually fuck off and leave Portland alone. This is the second annual Fash Free Fest- a celebration of what the community has accomplished and the strength of communal power. I’m told that there is an insane lineup of musicians planned for this, along with free food and snacks, mutual aid, zines, an arts & crafts station, and more!

Andy Ngo and a slew of other far right assholes have been losing their shit about this article/statement put out by the Freedom of the Press Foundation about my arrest and encouraging the DA to drop my charges. Once again they have resorted to straight up lying about me. In addition to Ngo lying and saying that I’ve violently targeted journalists in the past (??), Chelly Bouffarache (honey badger mom) is claiming that I’m a serial rioter and that I am “running the actions” that I cover, which like, LOL. Ngo claimed that I’m an antisemite and others are saying that I have pulled knives on people for being right wingers, which I’m assuming comes from Ngo’s lie that I brought a shiv to his trial to try to kill him, which again, LOL.
Honey badger, who is besties with Ngo, is one of the reasons why I was charged with 7 felonies and had my home raided after she lied to a grand jury claiming I assaulted her and her friend. This was extra odd because aside from being objectively untrue, the day of the event mentioned she tweeted that it was weird I was being nice and helpful to her. (I had no idea who she was at the time and she was visibly annoyed when she asked “don’t you know who I am” and I said no). All of those 7 felony chargers were dropped not long after my arrest because I did nothing that day except for just being there and it all just seemed like an excuse for PPB to come after me.

🚨🚨 New forest defense has launched in Oregon
Treesitters have launched a second occupation to stop the Bureau of Land Management’s "Rogue Gold" timber sale, which targets some of the last remaining old growth and mature forests in so-called Southern Oregon for commercial logging.
The protest comes just a few weeks after a successful protest against the agency's nearby Poor Windy Timber Sale, where activists won a concession preserving a swath of old growth trees after close to a month of treesitting. Last month's success only goes to show that direct action works, and these brave forest defenders are committed to continuing to fight tooth and nail until these trees are protected.
The forest where activists have set up their treesit occupation is located near the communities of Rogue River and Gold Hill. The sale is just one of many contentious logging projects that the BLM have proposed in Oregon in recent years. Currently, the agency has over 700,000 acres of forest land across the state proposed for cutting.
The Rogue Gold sale targets over 2,000 acres for commercial logging, including significant amounts of old growth and mature forests. Community groups and environmental organizations have been publicly opposing this project since it was originally proposed in 2021, with logging moving forward despite active litigation.

I posted about this live as it was happening and had he been successful he would’ve driven thru the line of cops as well. This same man who attempted to kill people was detained and held on a mental health hold and released shortly after with no consequences. He has since posted at least 3 more death threats against activists on his instagram, including threatening to stab people and that he was making explosives to use on protesters.
A few years ago, Wheeler was encouraging vigilantism against protesters and said he wanted to “unmask” them and “make them hurt a little.”
Not one year after those comments were made, the Normandale shooting happened where someone open fired and killed one person and shot 6 others at a protest. Following the Normandale shooting Wheeler stated that he did not regret what he said.

Happy Andy Ngo got clocked in black bloc and was forced to hide under the check in desk at the Nines Hotel anniversary.
Before he got made and unmasked, Ngo was wearing full bloc equipped with goggles and a BLM flag draped over his shoulders. By the time I arrived this night, he had already been hiding under the desk in the Nines. People who were present before I got there told me that he stood out from the jump, and that he was offering people fireworks & different tools from him backpack in a manner that made folks suspicious. This was in 2021.
This wasn’t the first time Ngo had showed up in bloc in Portland and attempted to manipulate and stage chaos for himself to report on or pretend to be the victim of. I’ve obtained audio from encrypted radio chatter from Portland Police that was recorded that contains PPB officers talking about Andy Ngo being undercover in downtown Portland at a protest and throwing fireworks out of the car window before driving the wrong way on a one way with his lights turned off at night. This audio corroborates eye witness accounts claiming they were certain they saw Ngo both throwing fireworks from the car and heading out the wrong way with his lights off. This is from July 2020 during a protest downtown, where multiple people also claimed being handed mortars by Ngo.

Not Andy ngo insinuating I tried to kill him at his trial 😂 he’s saying I showed up with a sharpened shiv… not only is that objectively not true, but I was on pretrial conditions at the time. You have to go thru a metal detector at the courthouse and get searched by cops. If that were true I would have been arrested on the spot. Fucking dumbass.

Another person was just arrested who was walking on the sidewalk. They just got grabbed for no reason. Cops got very pushy with protesters and have been threatening force and a few in particular keep threatening mace and shaking their cans. Number 884 keeps threatening force and mace against people just standing on sidewalk and is extremely aggro. He told me to not push him or I'll be maced even tho both my hands were on my phone recording lol

Also you never know for number 2. The one night they did a legit proper kettle, me and everyone else arrested got driven in the riot van all the way to the East precinct in Gresham. They took our mugshots on their phones then dumped us in the parking lot so no one would know where we were and there’d be no jail support 😑
