according to Claude after reading all of the transcripts for podcasting 2.0, "199 episodes have a real transcript, about 3.47 million words"
I thought this was fun @nprofile…td70 @nprofile…7epg

@nprofile…cyex so only 2 people didn’t cheat on the midterm? 😂

@nprofile…7epg I live in Glen Ridge now. I’ve lived around the Montclair area my entire life. I know you like local podcasts, Montclair actually has one.

@nprofile…7epg I wrote iOS code at a previous job that would download podcasts in the background and then just delete the mp3 any time a user opened our app. It was shady as fuck. I’m no longer with that company and don’t know if they are still doing it. I don’t want to name the company and get sued but if you find my LinkedIn I’m sure you could figure out who the company is 😉

2026-07-08 12:09:05 GMT

Just listened to episode 259 of the board room. Even legit companies defraud advertisers with fake downloads. Ask me how I know 😂

@nprofile…c2kf awesome. You can just tap the TestFlight link to join the beta. No, I haven’t added it yet. I’ll wait until it’s live on the App Store.

2026-05-17 01:48:52 GMT

Everyone knows iOS needs another podcast app. I’m looking for beta testers for Effem.

@nprofile…td70 opus seems to be miles ahead of any open source local model. My dream is Meta gets Llama on par just in time for Apple to release M5 max chips in a Mac Studio (which should be powerful enough?)

2026-04-03 18:32:51 GMT

The @nprofile…pww5 transcript “jacking off on the kid.” What @nprofile…7epg actually said, “jacking off on the GitHub.” 😂.
I know there is nothing you can do but just tagging you for the lulz @nprofile…v80u

@nprofile…sk9g @nprofile…cyex rust is way too complex. I personally wouldn’t use typescript for a CLI app but a lot of teams choose it. I’d use go.

@nprofile…c2kf it should work with any iPad running iPadOS 26.2 or newer.

Does anyone with a podcast and an iPad want to beta test?

@nprofile…7td6 is there even a difference to results if using Claude code vs Claude in OpenCode?

2026-03-28 12:15:31 GMT

- reply

@nprofile…7epg we need the open source models to catch up and we need hardware prices to come down before the VC money stops flowing.

@nprofile…td70 @nprofile…7epg the $100/month plan is plenty. I’m a professional software dev and I use it all day every day. Unless you have 10 instances running all day everyday you don’t need the $200 plan.

2026-03-27 11:55:59 GMT

- reply

@nprofile…7epg yes, that’s a real fear. There is something very comforting with my Claude max plan knowing exactly how much I’ll pay each month.

2026-03-26 23:18:49 GMT

Has anyone here tried https://openrouter.ai/ ?
I want to move away from using 100% Claude code. But I don’t want to only use local LLMs.
I’d like my stack to be
Zed
OpenCode
OpenRouter

@nprofile…td70 no back-end needed. But it will only work with lightning wallets that support NWC. and obviously they need to be online for the app to connect.

2026-03-03 21:44:31 GMT

I’m working on an iPad app that is a replacement for Helipad that works via NWC. Here’s a sneak peak screenshot:

I was vibe coding some podcast index stuff with Claude today and for some sample data this it what it generated -
No Agenda Show
Episode 1642
33,333 sats
“Hit ‘em in the mouth! ITM!”
DudeNamedBen - Fountain

@nprofile…y5nd @nprofile…ge5x @nprofile…h5le for better or worse it seems like Apple is the podcast world source of truth. As long as they remain benevolent that is ok for PI. We’re here for the inevitable day when they stop being a good actor. That’s my 2 cents

@nprofile…mg8l I wonder how much it would actually cost. I’m pretty sure Marco is already very wealthy from his Tumblr days so a small number might not entice him. Especially since this app is his baby. 🤷‍♂️
Starting from scratch is so challenging to build users.

What podcast apps are people using on iOS? I’m not trying to be a hater, but the new overcast is just bad. It loses my position in an episode. It’s sad to see. This was always such a great app.

A question for the devs out there: https://github.com/SparrowTek/effem-ios/issues/1

2024-08-30 20:58:19 GMT

@npub1ln5…xyw6 where would you prefer bug reports for the API? Here? Github? somewhere else?
This returns a 500:
https://api.podcastindex.org/api/1.0/podcasts/trending?cat=Cryptocurrency
Several categories work as expected and others get a 500 response.
Sorry for a late Friday bug report.
