Hm.. I'm still having trouble seeing how it's racism.
But I guess just as a thought experiment, if we apply the definition broadly, the terms zionist, colonizer, maga republican, or blue-haired liberal would be racist, as well. It's an insult toward a particular ideology mostly associated with an ethnic group.
So it doesn't seem like racism, exactly. If the focus is what people think and not who they are, it doesn't seem to fit to call it racism.

Calling someone names solely based on their beliefs isn't racism, to be fair. Political harassment probably.

Like mastodon.social, mastodon.online is run by the official mastodon organization. The only difference is that mastodon.online is invite-only while mastodon.social is open to everyone.
Since mastodon.online is an invite-only server it has less spam and also other servers rarely defederate with mastodon.online as compared to mastodon.social. (looking at you mastodon.art)
If given the choice between the two, because it is invite-only mastodon.online is the better option.

2025-12-29 21:15:53 GMT

If we measure privacy as data minimization (who knows what and for how long), it would be more private. Less entities would know about the purchase and a record of it would be kept for a shorter period of time. Also, each entity would have less information about the transaction details itself. This of course is only the case in an ideal scenario, as you pointed out.

True, but assuming this isn't the start of a slippery slope and assuming it's implemented as advertised, it will be significant improvement when it comes to digital privacy and ease-of-use.
