I really appreciate this thread and the insight. We really should of done "you could not be voted for unless you logged in and opted for that." Thank you for sharing and it has been a learning experience for me that I hope I can build on

A lot of the work I've been doing lately is not to make myself more of an expert on the PDS or atmosphere migrations, but to make new experts on the PDS by sharing what I do know.

2026-04-16 13:52:19 GMT

I don't think I've made a post about it yet, but I've been helping out the Eurosky team behind the scenes a bit for the past couple of months. Mostly on the PDS side of things, like removing the need for invite codes and other odds & ends.

The atmosphere has some great labelers that do an amazing job of moderating. But as PDS admins, we do not have a great solution to use these amazing resources. So I created label-watcher. It subscribes to multiple labelers and notifies you if a user on your PDS gets labeled by a watched label.

[pdsmoover.com](https://pdsmoover.com ) hit over 1k accounts backed up today 🥳.
To celebrate, here are some other fun facts
- eurosky has the most accounts signed up at 239 (all in 23 days!), blacksky at 99, selfhosted at 57, and [npmx.social](https://npmx.social ) at 28
- [enoki.us-east.host.bsky.network](https://enoki.us-east.host.bsky.network ) has the most of the bsky mushrooms at 7

I've been helping a lot with [@[email protected]](https://bsky.brid.gy/ap/did:plc:u5zp7npt5kpueado77kuihyz ) lately. Part of that is setting up a PDS for new to the atmosphere users have a frictionless way to create an account with the .npmx.social ending and join in on npmx's social features. In 10 days we have
- 108 active accounts
- 92ish are new accounts for npmx

Small QOL update for PDS admins. PDS MOOver now supports appending a PDS to the end of the moover URL like [pdsmoover.com/moover/blacksky.app](https://pdsmoover.com/moover/blacksky.app ) to auto fill some info for approved PDSs. If you are curious about what atproto is, what a PDS is, or what moving to a new PDS looks like. This may be a good starting place for you. This is my attempt at explaining some of the basics of Bluesky(atproto) in a less technical way.

If you have the ability and the chance to help your community, I can't recommend enough for you to do that. Especially now.

Sneak peak of at://advent. Lots done this week.
Still focusing on the framework of it and not so much the UI. But I think it's working pretty well

Pretty excited about at://advent (Advent of Code but for atproto) and glad I've come back to it. It's going to be a lot of fun to sit back and watch everyone enjoy it in December

Rough right now. Mostly focusing on the framework and flexibility for others to create challenges right now, not so much the challenges and UI

Been working on at://advent some today. Still early, but the framework to build out challenges easily for it is looking pretty good I think 👀

Going to go out on a limb with this one. ATProto's biggest selling point to me as a developer was the ease of being able to build an application with a store for user data and authentication already baked in. No need for a backend.
I still think that's a big draw for me and one of its biggest pros

Got it! Email 2FA on a selfhosted PDS for oauth logins

I'm still upset vibe coding doesn't mean a fresh cup of coffee and a play list that is hitting while you sling code like a line cook at a Waffle House
