One can only assume that either measles has got more infectious or the minimum infectious dose has dropped. The latter can happen when innate immune resources are managing a chronic viral infection.
Has anyone checked to make sure these children aren't carrying a chronic infection? I understand the desire to take the easy way out and blame lax vaccine uptake, but immune continuity must be assessed also.

Scientists were able to make a broadly neutralizing IgM nasal spray to the Wuhan lineage. There's no reason the same can't be done with the Omicron Lineage. Might even be able to do eye drops, too. These antibodies are taken up by tissues of the respiratory tract and remain there to a good extent. Once equilibrium was reached out would likely be possible to move to weekly maintenance doses. Risk of adverse reaction is very low.

If given the choice between HIV and asymptomatic Covid, I would choose HIV. Just because HIV is a lentivitus and SARS-CoV-2 is a coronavirus doesn't mean that they don't aggravate the immune system in a similar manner. Most with HIV that adhere to their antiviral therapies retain or recover immune function. We have no such meds with PCoVs, and there's a chance that we never will.

A very well written and perceptive paper on the influence of Complement in Alzheimer's Disease from 2004. The author is diligent at identifying limitations in animal models. That's not something all authors do, and when they don't, the reader should be open to the possibility that an agenda may be driving the conflation.
Anyways, if you want to know what is going to happen in the brains of chronic SARS-CoV-2 & Omicron survivors as they age, this is a good opener.

No, but there's plenty about hearing loss after COVID and plenty about early onset dementia after COVID, and plenty about the rapid acceleration in the rate of decline in dementia patients after COVID, so it isn't inappropriate to transitively connect the two.
I would be far more concerned with gradual hearing loss after COVID, particularly the inability to hear over noise, being associated with ongoing brain damage than sudden hearing loss.

I was pretty sure that he was on Dexamethasone when he made the offer for Twitter because of his toxic grandiosity at the time. Turns out that Ketamine and Dexamethasone are used together to induce schizophrenia in animal models. Not sure exactly how faithful that model is to actually schizophrenia, but the C3 and C4 concentrations match. Whatever it is, is definitely not 'sound mind' and is going to take a moment or two to get back to baseline.
