I see constantly online how people hate my country and how people hate my countrymen and it’s not a joke it’s actually legitimate hate. I can’t tell you how to feel or that you can or can’t say something (nor would I even try that) but I think it’s very important to remember that Trump has one of the lowest approval ratings of any US president, most of us Americans are not happy with how things are going and we would like things to go in a different direction.

I stepped away to think, I’m tired of the internet I’m tired of 24/7 reading about how X person or country hate Y person or country , I’m tired of the stupid squabbling and bickering over stuff that is completely irrelevant and pointless. I’ve decided I’m hard limiting myself on using the internet and specifically social media and YouTube and such. I will give myself an amount of time and that’s it, I’m not sure if I’m doing a weekly amount of time or a daily amount of time yet but that’s my intentions. We all get too wrapped up in ourselves and I think the internet is to blame for a very large chuck of the crappy behaviors of people. Anyway, I just wanted to explain a bit. I’m not leaving, I’m just being intentional.

It seems to me it doesn’t matter how social the social media is, I don’t really use it for socializing anyway. I’m not very social, I tend to just post about things I think are cool or something I think is funny then move on with very minimal interaction I might react to a comment or respond every now and again but for the most part I’m pretty horrible at anything social. I’ve been using Damus most of the day since the new TestFlight build came out late last night and it’s buttery smooth and my favorite thing about Damus is the simplicity, it’s not trying to do everything and I respect that. I think we need clients that do one or two things and do them well. If I really want or need more feature I can always hop into another client that has those features. Damus is nice to pop into and fire off a note or just a quick glance over the feed and Ditto is nice for exploring and having fun. At least that’s my view and experience.
