It is downright offensive and laughable that so many crypto founders, which supposedly built their offerings under anti-authority, decentralization, and cypherpunk ethos, continue to bring eyeballs to a centralized heavily censored platforms like Youtube and Twitter that are inherently authoritarian by design.
This is why I will never post content on Youtube, Twitter, TikTok, etc.
If you ever see any of my work or content published on proprietary platforms, it was because others put it there.

A communications tool must have censorship resistance (decentralization), anonymous signup without requiring a phone, and have an official way to obtain binaries signed by the community instead of by corpos that can be forced to insert backdoors.
Signal fails on every single one of these criteria and that is why we must stop recommending it to our friends and family who have a very limited tolerance for technology changes.
Choose decentralization.
Use matrix, or make something better.

I have a simple rule. Proprietary technology can only be consumed for entertainment, but never relied upon in day to day life.
Also, I am not a vegan, but I respect the hell out of vegans who commit to trying to make the world better in that way.
But no one is inspired by someone that is only vegan half-time, right?
Decide who you are and commit to the bit.
If you want to be a privacy advocate, or a corpo shill, or a cannibal, just do it. No half assing it.
Cannibals eat the whole ass.

Sometimes when I feel really annoyed at surveillance capitalism, I go into Google and Bing maps and submit home photo deletion requests on behalf of a few home owners in my area.
When you delete enough homes on a street, it skips the entire street on Street View. It's great.
Also, they don't validate emails or that you actually own the home you are asking to delete, and there are no laws against doing this.
