Actually I successfully installed Anubis to protect all my Fediverse apps from AI crawlers and it works well.
I had to go thru a number of pitfalls but succeeded. I just shared yesterday my steps to achieve that on Mastodon: https://blogs.gayfr.social/barbapulpe/protect-mastodon-against-ai-bots-with-anubis
Definitely worth it, my AI crawlers visitors count dropped dramatically.

Sure. What I can say is that I receive Mastodon posts with images in Pixelfed so interoperability is at least partially there.

I am of the opinion of Dan. If we have specialized platforms like Pixelfed, it’s to focus on some specific purpose (here, photography). If you want a generalistic platform, there are other apps such as Friendica. Otherwise we end up with all apps doing everything but not very well.
Open to a poll of course!

So great to have this fast-evolving #Loops with a great dev really listening and acting according to feedback!

Thanks. So for Mastodon 4.5.0 stable it seems I should use 3.0.0 from main branch, correct?

Hi, thanks for the excellent BirdUI. Just to know and no pressure at all, is the latest rc version fit for Mastodon 4.5.0? Thanks again.

🇬🇧 FEDIVERSE, explained.
Wondering which Fediverse app to use? This is my vision, according to content and time, or alternately, which mainstream corporate application is replaced.
🔄 Boosts, reuse and feedback welcome!

I decided our instance should allow people to express themselves beyond the small-ish original limit, as most social networks now do, so I set a 5,000 characters limit. In practice no one here seldom uses it, but we do see 1,000 to 1,500 characters occasionally. It's just nice to know you can and don't need to break up a long message into small parts, I have used that capability in an announcement I made yesterday.
