A friend of mine just got a email from a recruiter looking for designers to make brand and deck designs for https://tastelabs.com/... essentially making stuff to feed into the hopper for their AI to generate slop from.
This definitely feels like scab work. (He obviously turned it down)

“One approach, proposed by Google Research, is what you might call a “token auction.” In this model, advertisers don’t buy ad slots on a page. Instead, they bid, token by token, on the actual text the model generates. Each advertiser brings their own LLM, and an auction mechanism decides whose model gets to influence the next word. The output is a weighted blend of competing interests, shaped by who’s willing to pay more.”

@nprofile…wgw9 @nprofile…kw8q MT has unfortunately misunderstood what made H&Co fonts valuable to customers, even before the acquisition.
Fonts are just fonts without the stories you build around them, and that is something that @nprofile…kw8q in particular excels at

@nprofile…2fal @nprofile…mw4f @nprofile…dpf5 you can also install your own fonts on iOS by making a .mobileConfig file, basically it's an xml file with your font stored as the payload, pretty easy to make with python https://developer.apple.com/business/documentation/Configuration-Profile-Reference.pdf
If you want to distribute this file to others, you can sign it, otherwise iOS will show a very scary "UNSIGNED" etc message, but if it's just for you, you can get over it :)

Andrew Chang at the CBC discovers the “tariffs” that Trump says he is responding to from other countries is just the trade deficit… they even put out a fancy mathy looking equation that multiplies 4 * 0.25, all to justify an insane premise. This man is so dumb and broken he and his dipshit advisors think that we should be buying and selling to every country on earth equally

I've heard a few times in my life that when it comes to French typesetting it's often the case that one adds a thin space between things like "«" and the word, or even between "L'A". If so, how often does this happen, and does it typically happen automatically in word processing situations? Is there anything on the font features side or kerning that is expected there specifically for French?
