apparently not on primal...their ui only allows nsec login, no npub login

Why does Primal require an nsec on web and mobile? I thought that was bad practice. Am I missing something? Is there some way to give it an npub and authorize write access with something like Amber?

Generally cookie modals on websites are annoying but this one is pretty cool. https://image.nostr.build/decd1a21b835c27a21b4586b45e7bc98116285aecd14adcb38c259c80ea4baf5.jpg

yeah you have to use a delivery service like ses...biggest benefit imo is that you're not storing subscriber list with anyone
also it deploys easily, needs virtually no maintenance, and is actively developed
imo those are necessary to meeting your least shitty and "most bitcoiner" criteria but of course that is a matter of opinion, not sure exactly what your requirements are

AU10TIX is the company that will reportedly handle identity verification for Twitter users.
Top of their landing page claims customers will "barely remember" the process:

Then below they claim that their own identity has "changed over the years":

Which, of course, is a luxury that their customers cannot enjoy.
Not just evil but audaciously so...

considered but concluded it's counter-productive...better to mold phone to be less addictive than avoid entirely. change launcher to emphasize easy access to healthy apps, don't install some apps at all, etc.

Have to say the apps and overall experience of nostr has improved tremendously since the first hype cycle.
Amethyst especially is super nice, so h/t @npub1gcx…nj5z
Hats off to all the other devs, relay operators, and plebs who kept it vibrant in the mean time.
