I have never seen worse function declarations in another language btw

2026-09-28 08:58:18 GMT

cool how structured text has functions and function blocks which are fundamentally different things so when I'm trying to look shit up about functions I get 99% function block results
function blocks are essentially classes so the naming is just completely retarded

doesn't really change anything though. we're still running out of bombs, still can't get logistics in place for whatever reason, and none of the military problems can be solved because some fat jew or other is getting rich off the status quo
israel can throw whatever tantrum it wants but nukes won't fix this and even if we wanted to do a 5 million casualty meat grinder operation, we literally can't

@npub1n7j…542f I'm sure all the new ones will have them, now that the sector has blown up a bunch of functionally irreplaceable turbines (7 year backlog)
google probably would've got it right anyway. they're good at infrastructure, unlike most tech companies. guess who didn't get it right, despite literally being in the power business? tesla

@npub1sfr…qls7 @npub16ty…m0cj no what? you think the utility is just gonna let the grid brownout? the power grid isn't operated as a free for all
it's called curtailment, look it up

@npub1sfr…qls7 @npub16ty…m0cj they're not gonna make you turn off your AC, they're gonna tell commercial customers to shut things down
I used to work at a place that had several machines on site that used so much power they had to notify the utility before turning them on or off. like more power than hundreds of homes. that sort of thing can just be turned off until the weather chills out

we spent 10 years talking about how it's a bad thing that all software has become massively bloated with tens of millions of lines of code that don't need to exist. then some dipshit invented a python script that sprays high velocity code out of its ass and suddenly creating mountains of code was this virtuous pursuit
