Banks are so stupid. I recommend never mentioning Bitcoin to them, since they have Bitcoin derangement syndrome and actively will make your life difficult because of it.
I had to basically get shaken down and do 4 separate phone calls with Bank bozos just to send a wire to a Bitcoin-related company.
When asked where money came from, “investment and trading accounts” is a good enough, honest answer. You probably used an exchange to get the dollars anyway, so lean into that.
It’s so stupid that they harass you about where you got your own money from.

It makes it really easy to tell who doesn’t actually care about the financial revolution that is Bitcoin, or at least understand the bigger picture of a sound global currency.
If people want private transactions and don’t care about the monetary properties, why not just use ECash? Or Liquid? I suppose both have a small user set which makes it harder to be anonymous at this point but that will definitely change with time.
I think that deep down there is some shitcoiner level of cope going on, where real technical people who like cypherpunk ideas wish they had bought Bitcoin at $100 and see Monero as a chance for redemption.

The biggest problem with a Pi is that the SD cards which store the OS don’t seem to be well suited for so much constant reading and writing. My Pi 4 has been a tank, but I’ve burnt through 3 SD cards in two years and every time they crap out I have to spend at least an hour testing everything.

Capital gains tax is immoral but it is applied to every investable asset. It’s only applicable if the underlying asset appreciates in value.
Small businesses which don’t have a treasury or investment fund might not bother holding Bitcoin due to the constant accounting overhead, but any business with enough capital and positive cash flows to have medium-long term investments can greatly benefit from Bitcoin.
I would just ask them how they currently manage capital gains on any of their current investment holdings.
