The appeal of narcissism. Most people would look at that sentence and react negatively to it. Saying narcissism doesn't and shouldn't appeal to anyone on account of how many people over the span of human history are hurt by people that believe in it. Who are it.
What those people ignore though is that all of our societies prime people to see narcissism as appealing.
Not just for the fame and fortune but the emotional aspect people THINK is inherent in narcissism. /1

@npub1xp9…amfw @npub17te…vkep Wait. So you know the whole the bad space stuff started literally out of white people saying a black person was playing the race/black card even before ro presented the evidence they had? In an attempt to devalue any and everything ro said about racism on social media sites KNOWN to have racism on them?
Is that what you're saying?

2023-11-10 20:07:24 GMT

#tran #transition #transrightsarehumanrights Hey trans people. I have a question.
Does a trans-card exist? Where trans people can mention they are trans and get special treatment just off that?
Or is most of the world transphobic and if trans people were to tell others they are trans. There's a massive chance bad things will happen?
If a trans-card doesn't/can't exist. Then why do so many white trans people think a race/black card exists?

@npub17te…vkep @npub1xp9…amfw Not everything though. You purposefully left out the bits about the race/black card. The fact that ro had evidence of that that the people didn't care about like you don't. That even afterward white people kept piling on stuff way out of context specifically to paint every last black person involved as baddy bad.
But here ya go. Got it for you.

@npub1200…aqy2 I know you said not to. But whole scientific studies should be done on the kinds of people the right appeals to. Because. They are the absolute most insecure human beings to ever walk the face of the earth.
Always with a chip on their shoulder like the world owes them something. And have basically chopped and screwed their own minds so much. They'd get 2+2= 4 wrong.
It makes them feel better about themselves because they have no other way to do so.

People tend to think that just because they like someone. Everyone else does too. And specifically speaking as a black man in america into politics. At the time. The vast majority of the black people i was around...

@npub15x4…3p3l lol Straight white christian dudes with money saw that traditionally targeted groups were able to make words like the hard r disappear from use to a certain degree and while saying both white an male privilege doesn't exist. Decided to use their white male privilege to attack any and every word meant to help traditionally targeted groups across the board.

@npub1p90…5svf @npub1ccn…czwu @npub1j7t…ls96 @npub1t07…nm3q Nah. A very large percentage of people in america don't vote because they don't see a point in trying. On account of things like gerrymandering by republicans.
Hillary clinton won the popular vote and still lost specifically (in part) because of what republicans have been doing both in government and when it comes to psychologically manipulating people.
All of that depresses the vote. Because people don't see a way to even make their vote count

@npub1200…aqy2 Sorry about any trauma you went through. But yeah. High school never ends. And when it comes to the debate bros who grew up thinking it's possible to win or lose a debate. Vulnerability became a no no. Not just regarding toxic masculinity. But in the realm of DESTROYED WITH FACTS AND LOGIC.
The new popularity contest. This time. You get your own little mob of hateful people online with it.

@npub1200…aqy2 There's another reason. Rejection. There are a lot of people out there who use rejection as a means to style their ingroup. To gather a group of people so they can use them to attack others.
And it happens so much vulnerability is made out to be stupid. Like a bad move all around.

@npub19fc…ay3c The problem with that theory is this. Wanting to watch the world burn IS a well-defined principle. Because all well defined means is..clear to other people.
You're generally right thought. They don't have anything to latch onto. And don't because latching onto logic and morality seems like a bad idea to them. DESTROYED WITH FACTS AND LOGIC! Is directly to blame for that.
Turning the appearance of intellectualism into a wwf/mma fight paved the road for those types.

@npub1e2v…2kvd @npub1200…aqy2 I massively disagree. America is a country built almost exclusively on propaganda. The only difference i see between tiktok and say facebook (other than how the programs are run) is the ages of the people who use them.
Basically. Hate for tiktok is get off my grass. Or omg that music is satanic. When people get older who were in the in group but aren't anymore. Jealousy turns to spite. There are problems with it. But generally it's the off the grass thing.

@npub1lrv…tth9 It's different for me. Joe rogan murdered the ever loving fuck out of podcasts for me. Then andrew tate. Then jordan peterson. Then ben shapiro. So on and so forth.
At this point..if it's a podcast. Odds are good it's something i just flat out don't want to hear. Articles on the other hand? Well, if people go through the trouble of doing that. It has a higher chance of not being absolute dogshit.

@npub1g0t…tvm4 A good amount of people won't bang with me on this. But i'mma say it anyway. The vast majority of people don't like talking about white privilege. Which of course keeps it going. To where straight white christian conservative men can run companies however they like.
But. America is majority white. Indigenous people didn't do the above. Black people didn't. Asian americans didn't. Etc. Start addressing white privilege. And you slow this down too.

@npub1ulm…hweg That's designed specifically out of the ego of the person saying it. Like those people who say republicans and democrats are the same or are exactly the same.
Like ignoring "trolls"/horrible people (saying it like this because even calling them trolls lowers how bad they are) is literally how things got bad to begin with.
The more people who say no to "trolls" logically the better. There's a reason why downvotes, moderators, report buttons etc were created to begin with.

It blows my mind how when people talk working people. They're very rarely talking about those baristas everyone likes talking crap about. Or mcdonalds workers. Etc. Even when talking "blue collar" it's very rarely about positions the vast majority of this generation are in. lol
