It’s funny how we both wonder why we married our exes, and why we stayed with them for so long, especially given how they absolutely destroyed our #mentalhealth through #abuse and #coercivecontrol. I think the whole marriage concept is broken. Schools could do a better job of teaching kids how to choose a non-toxic partner, and how to not be one. Literally no-one addressed that topic with me. In the meantime we’re merrily planning our wedding 🤣

5 days of eating sh*t plus very little exercise = major depressive mood crash. Totally sucks. I feel on edge with chunky fear of abandonment. It makes me resent my sweetheart and pushes me into self sabotaging avoidance. I keep telling myself that I’m awesome and why on earth would she leave me, but I still feel inadequate at my core. Of course, this morning I felt like the champion of the world, ready to take on every challenge simultaneously.

New theory: think I’m looking for female attention to fill the gaping hole left in my heart / life since the kids went off largely to live with their mum. 50 50 shared parenting seems logical and fair to me, but I get the feeling I’d have to spend thousands on solicitors fees to get there. We did the whole divorce using a mediator, and I reluctantly agreed (on a trial basis) to only have the kids every other weekend and on a Wednesday night. Sigh.

My battles with #depression and #anxiety were so lengthy and traumatic and it feels wonderful to be in a healthy place at last. Every single time I see someone else suffering I want to take away their pain. I can hardly describe how crippling and soul destroying it was. I had no joy, excitement or hope for the future. I was barely existing.

@npub1vmr…vhkp For me, crippling anxiety and low self esteem soaked up my brain processing capacity, which made conversing and decision making almost impossible. I was so self conscious about my lack of conversational skill, and that compounded the problem. I also began to believe I had early onset dementia, because my cognitive function was so poor - memory / recall was also dreadful. I was the victim of domestic abuse and severe gaslighting which was the environmental component

I can’t really see things like ‘global agreements’ making a difference as the instinct for nations to compete is too strong. Ultimately I believe the cliched sci-fi trope will become reality, where the privileged few escape to another planet and so the cycle starts over.

We did a #servicedesign workshop today! We played back a bunch of customer journeys and #UserResearch findings, identified pain points and opportunities and agreed next steps for the project:
i) migrate our customer #database to a reliable platform and redesign it to better meet #userneeds (some hardcore #prototyping coming up), and
ii) develop our growth and marketing plan.
Some disagreement among senior managers which is pretty standard but tedious 😅
