We're proud to announce that upgrades to Ultramarine Linux 41 (Cyberia) are here! If you're an existing user you can upgrade to 41 right now in your edition's app store!
In Ultramarine 40, the dnf command uses dnf5, which may break certain release upgrades. Upgrade graphically, or use dnf4.
Raspberry Pi users should wait to upgrade, we will have more information for you soon.
Ultramarine 41 comes with the usual desktop and under-the-hood changes for our existing users. In addition, Flagship and Xfce Edition are switching to Slick greeter from LightDM-GTK, this will happen automatically when you upgrade.
This release also comes with umcli, more information to come :3
A lot of our changes are for new installs and hardware enablement this time around, so stay tuned!
To upgrade your system through the command line, run these commands:
```
sudo dnf4 upgrade —refresh
sudo dnf4 install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade
sudo dnf4 system-upgrade download —releasever=41
sudo dnf4 system-upgrade reboot
```
Check the wiki for important info!

In Ultramarine 41, you'll be able to view your system status at a glance, and generate a pretty, end-to-end encrypted web report shareable with a link. Useful for support or just showing off your setup ;p
This is just one of the many features we have in store for you in 41~ #foss #oss #linux #fyralabs #ultramarine #ultramarinelinux #tech

Mostly so. However, we're using bootc over the standard rpm-ostree method used on Fedora Silverblue at the moment.

Hey everyone, we’re going to do a community contest for an Ultramarine 41 wallpaper option!
Details:
- There are 2 categories, general Ultramarine wallpaper, and 41 theme-specific (details below)
- Will stay open for as long as needed
- Must not use AI, or someone else’s licensed content
- Must be under a FOSS license (AKA we must be able to use it for free)
- Can be a photo, drawing, collage, whatever, as long as it’s made by you
- May not be the default wallpaper, but will be included in all editions
- We may select more then one
- Try to keep it a bit classy, we don’t want the logo just on top of a gradient
- Can have a light/dark mode, or just one
- Deadline is (at least) November 12th
Ultramarine themes ~
Ultramarine 41 is code named ‘Cyberia’ from Serial Experiment Lain. Think along the lines of ‘walking outside or into a nightclub in a cyberpunk town.’
For the general Ultramarine theme, think about our general values and previous wallpapers (can be seen here: https://github.com/Ultramarine-Linux/backgrounds/tree/main/ultramarine-linux)
Winner(s) will get their name added to the ‘super secret’ file in Ultramarine for sponsors, as well as the contributors role if you don’t have it, and of course bragging rights.
Please post submissions in the discord forum, winner will be determined by voting/staff

Ultramarine sets up everything for you, so you can just do your thing. We don't care what you do with it, only when you get to do it.
