AP is also super nice but completely out of my range. Always nice to see people wearing it. I’m glad you could fall down that rabbit hole 😅
Yes, the green is superb! That’s why I wanted it. I have enough black and blue watches, so it had to be this one!

I’m not that far into the game, but also I’m kind of done in my collection. Currently all „grails“ in my possession, just a Sinn U50 missing. And that damn GW-BX5600, which is not released yet in the west…

Me too! The watches and cars part. Not the Cambridge part.
Cars are fking expensive, so one is definitely enough for me.

I'd always prefer Porsche. I don't think Lambos are good, reliable cars.

What a cool movie! I got this on VHS mid 90s and kind of liked it. Mostly because it was so cheesy, different and CYBERspace!

Oh, we had this one back then. I loved the look, the feel and found it super stylish. This glossary, heavy, deep red ball!
But I could never get used to it, always felt so much slower and exhausting than a mouse.

So i'm about to learn sailing (along with the licenses of course). Thank you @npub1z8r…mrq6 !

If it’s free a “donation” is the right term for me. Payment is an obligation while a donation isn’t.

Yesterday i actrually just wanted to look up the static image feed generator #ocular and where i can report a small problem i encountered.
But then stumbled upon this excellent article about #permacomputing by @npub1z8r…mrq6 , which occupied my mind the rest of the evening...

Ah right. I thought just this whole subversive.pics stuff was made by Tomáš.
I juuuust thought i understood merveilles, or better: it's origins. So Mastodon is the real origin according to https://wiki.xxiivv.com/site/merveilles.html, right?

Now digging deeper into the hole. I'm also a fan of @npub19fp…qu6k (who created subversive.pics or at least the name?) and wonder how this is all connected. Feels like surfing the web in the old days, jumping from page to page.
My WILD guess: core merveilles is a web ring of really cool people (hosted/created by you?) with really cool projects and this masto instance is a part of it? Or the other way round?

So…this is a collection of pictures from the web? Not self hosted (except the thumbprints I guess) but linked?

I‘m using the same server at home for my Unraid system :)
Got it for free from my company because we had no more use for it. 3x 4 TB + 1 cache SSD in a 3.5“ case. It’s enough for now, but I’m keeping my eyes open for a N150 setup for efficient transcoding.
Because it was free, the aging energy efficiency isn’t that much of a deal for me, even though the Xeon E3-1220L v2 has a TDP of only 17 watts, which is super nice!

It was never a real problem (for me). I just realized it behaved different. Things like this happen, if they are undefined ^^
Btw I saw that you already described the installation of php and the mbstring module in a help file. On my machine (Ubuntu server 24.04 LTS) the apt package install didn’t activate the module! It was registered (php -m was the command I guess), but I got a HTTP 500 error until I manually uncommented the module activation in my php.ini! I‘ll try again!

hm okay. It was just strange that the moment I put the same files into a subfolder, the order turned around. I like it so far and am about to start a retro blog with a friend. If I can convince him, we will not write pure html but use a better solution ^^

Works like a charm. But I maybe noticed a small inconsistency:
It looks like default sorting for posts is newest (on top), but if I use a subfolder (like mentioned in the user guide, thanks for that!), it seems to default to oldest, because it reversed the posts. Everything is fine though when I call the tag-page with the sort-parameter like you mentioned.

Is there a way to create an internal link to an overview for a specific tag (the ?tag=mySuperTag part) If not, i'd have to create the corresponding external link http://mypage.com/index.php?tag=mySuperTag
Do you know what i mean?

Haha, you were too fast. I deleted this post because i already found it. Directly beneath this help section. I feel so dumb :D
Now i'll try to create a page "cycling", which contains all posts with the tag "cycling". Wish me luck!
