Everything that hits American streaming services with an English dub (netflix, hulu, hbo) will attract shittier fans because there's less gatekeeping.
When you have to torrent a fansub every week to keep up with a show, you only have fans who care enough about the medium to actually do that.
With these the audience ceases to be "anime fans" and instead becomes largely zoomers and women who want background noise while they browse their phone.

This is the dumbest take I've read all year and it seems to hinge on the idea that getting people to accept racial differences wouldn't necessarily influence their politics.
The thing is it does, in the vast majority of cases. Breaking the "we're all the same" tabula rasa programming and recognizing that races have differences unlocks a _boatload_ of other understandings about the world that had been sealed away from you.
This isn't some trivial datapoint. It's the critical linchpin that holds up an entire framework.

I don't understand how professional sports is so effectively subversive.
