people talk about how the homelessness crisis links back to de-institutionalization under Reagan in the 80s. there's truth in that, but living in abusive state institutions is stretching the idea of housing.
i'd guess that many have never spent time in current institutions as workers or 'guests'. but they're often places where people have little to no rights in practice and are treated much like property.
many people who are unhoused are mentally ill, but so is much of the population at-large

my major issue with the phrase "content creator" is the "content" part
with "creatives" it's that the word is used to suggest that there's a separate or elite class of people who can or do creative things
while "brand" doesn't seem to have an alternative positive definition - "agency" can either be a body with authority that directs your behavior or your own individual choice of autonomous behavior

i guess that my take is that things can occur in less binary ways. taking a Jungian perspective, sometimes people are raised or socialized by folks who present as one gender but have an energy/presence/bias toward the "opposite" gender.
i think that ND or NT people can receive 'dual', 'mixed', or 'inverted' gender socialization from various role models and that it's not always apparent except to the individual (who would have to examine things and break them down)

i would say that in some of these cases the people i'm thinking of were ND themselves. if people are 'stealth' or their family/community is in denial they might be socialized as if they are NT (causing them trauma).

along these lines, my experience as a neurodivergent person is that some white women seem to recognize or pick up on my feelings but at times have used that for coercion or ridicule
so i think there is also a 'dark' version of emotional intelligence as well as tendencies towards assumptions about others' inner experiences

no worries. i don't feel my wording suggested that but i understand your sentiment.
my take is that we have to focus on everyone at once. prefiguration implies we work on how we want things to be prior to collapse/revolution. i see working on abuse in the home as a more present priority rather than toppling the State beforehand.
i do agree that taking out the top will do a lot for giving power to abuse at lower levels, but i think the interpersonal work is needed now

i guess it depends on how you define power and measure it
i see parents as existing in a hierarchy and having authority over children, regardless of class status or participation within the State
men generally have power over women, although it varies wildly at the individual level and depends on adherence to rules of patriarchy and other matters of status
and this goes on with racial dynamics, ability, etc.

i think "cancel culture" is invoked to absolve people of consequences for their actions, but there is a real phenomena of discarding people which you mentioned: 'disposability culture' or puritanism.
it can be hard to differentiate because folks are often reacting to situations they didn't witness and sans context/ information.
"cancel culture" is sometimes referring to shunning and free association behaviors, which are acceptable social decisions in response to certain scenarios
