Zoals….zonnebloemen! 🤩 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Verbijsterend dit npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Do I see some seeds in there, too? 🌶️ npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 What sort of information was on it? Raw datasets? npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Many countries in that region are artificially constructed, right? Look at those straight lines for borders. npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Eh, I basically feel more like an older white guy, genuinely interested, trying to make a bit of sense out of all the horrible news poured down on us every day, hoping there’s a positive angle somewhere underneath all of the shit 🤷♂️ npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Regime change after Saddam was not a great success either 🙄 Hope they do not make the same mistake again npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 1) A calm day of #Pentecost npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 How interesting! I have mostly read about Tibetan buddhism - explained from a pragmatic, Western perspective. There are enough variations and religious traditions for everyone to pick their own, or so it seems. npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 I haven’t done a comparative study of “ego” across traditions. Personally I’d consider Buddhism a philosophy rather than a religion. I just read about it after seeing an interesting documentary on tv, like: “that’s an interesting way of looking at things” 🙂 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Dunno, I’ve done a fair bit of reading on Buddhism, meditation out of interest. This is basically what I came to understand 🤷♂️ npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 I think the point is: of course there is a self, but ego refers more to the rock-solid nature of one’s beliefs, than to their content that might (have to) adapt and vary depending on circumstances? npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 When the cup is empty, one might ask “empty of what?”. What is missing? npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 I can also imagine something like this from “Yes, minister”, with the infamous “three stage strategy” 🤔 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Man, this sounds like a scene from Monty Python! “I came here for an argument!” - same energy 🙃 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 I suppose some people in my family - the generation of my parents - would have been among those “lives saved” way back. And I suppose “cannot” is really “do not want”. Unbelievable. npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 My (limited) experience: the assistant generates deceptively good looking code, that can be completely off. It picks the wrong variables, the wrong functions. Like you are writing, use existing words, combine them, get your grammar right but produce nonsense. Like 4 or 5 errors in 10 lines of code, assuming you are able to spot them. I have a hard time finding this acceptable, don’t know about you. npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Not mine but quite good npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Eén van die dingen waarvan je achteraf betreurt dat je het gelezen hebt. Niet goed voor de nachtrust. npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Oh ja, en dan nog iets met staatsschuld 🙄 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 We already had a dark grey Thursday and Friday...😬 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Good point 😬 Harsh, but probably true npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Is there anything these people do know about other countries? 😲 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 @npub1sgj…vpjx Buy me a coffee? npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Vertrouwen komt te voet... npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Die server heeft het een beetje druk... npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Over here in Europe, we have not seen a single second or photo in our media. Nothing 🙄 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Duh, you have not even mentioned that the world has plenty of different calendars! 🤣 npub1jkj7k4f8yzplm4x4hxw2dk680vsvqrvjh30k82vne0ant244dvasdpqar4 Sandor Spruit 🇪🇺🇳🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦 Maybe Java is not your cup of tea, but have a look at jodatime, a.k.a. javax.time. Impressive.
