Last Notes npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I hear that they have great unpasteurised cheese too π§ npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Hmmm feels a little too judgemental for me π€£ npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Feeling any better? npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Nothing has been promised & nothing is certain. What will happen will happen when it is ready to happen. What changed things for me was having value that nobody could take from me. I watched these savings increase in purchasing power until I was no longer scared of the future. The uncertainty of day to day life became less uncertain. I left the corporate job, took 2.5 years to focus on whatever I wanted. I cut back on my expenses & lived humbly. I recently got a job as a cleaner/janitor working for a good friend. Sometimes I laugh when cleaning the cubicles of these employees who occupy them. I am the faceless, nameless person that makes their dreary life a little less filthy. So they can drink their Pepsi Max while munching on seed oil laced snacks without being shamed by their crumbs & mess from the day/s before. I'm actually enjoying it & experiencing the world through the eyes of a cleaner. The utter slop that some eat at their desks is something else! I have a future but I'm no longer fearful of it. I know now the universe will provide opportunities when I need them. I work because I enjoy working & serving others. I retain my dignity because I don't need the job to survive & I know better who I am now. I personally needed bitcoin to show me that I didn't actually need it. I could have gotten to this place without bitcoin but my conditioning wouldn't allow it. When I think of the future I'm filled with excitement at the possibilities that are yet to be made manifest. I've let go the specific outcomes that I want, but do my best to choose what I prefer in every moment. I'm so grateful to be experiencing it all without the should & ought tainting everything. I've also gotten really good at cleaning stuff which is quite useful. π€£ TLDR - its our fear of the future & resistance to the now that is the real oppressor π« npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Just observe your thoughts without judging. π« Have you read the four agreements? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0q16hTGeak npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah it sounds like another C19 but I don't know anything about what they're reporting. It's a bacteria so expect a run on antibiotics. Oh and toilet paper... π€£ npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah we all do. This works well for pretty much any sauce you consume hot. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Gelatine breaks down into glycine which is an important amino acid for eyes, skin, nails, hair & all connective tissues. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Pro tip: Try adding 2 tablespoons of gelatine when the sauce is nearly done. Just hydrate it first by mixing it with a small amount of cold water. It changes the texture of the sauce & replicates the effect of adding some good bone broth. The pre hydrating just helps with it dissolving, it should only take a couple of minutes to dissolve in hot sauce. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket No beef? npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket In Vanuatu they have to prune their fences to stop them blowing over in high winds. They use green branches as posts & they inevitably root & start growing (their soil is super fertile). npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Beef & eggs are a great combo! npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I may be naive but I have a dream that humans 1 by 1 will choose honest, scarce money instead of debt, comfort & the promise of safety. It feels like anarchocapitalism at a global level & more like communism down at a local level. If the productive class demand only honest money for their labour & resources, the thieves lose their army of slaves. I also hope this happens before they build robot armies & slaves. If your intent is to empower humans to take full responsibility, I'll gladly stand beside you, whatever you call yourself π«π npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket We like to hold hands & sing Kumbaya after dinner around the campfire. I've become convinced that the only free market that exists is the price for data to be included on the Bitcoin timechain. But even that was distorted by the segwit data discount placed on node runners. The distortion in housing prices is caused by people using it as a SoV. They're wanting to protect what they've worked hard for (or stolen/extracted). This is the distortion that's in most supposedly free markets. They're priced in a currency that is created at near zero cost. I also believe that most of the possessible wealth & resources that exist in the world today has been stolen & concentrated into the hands of a few. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket So you know 1 of the narratives they're weaving into the completely unconscious among us. My grandfather used to feed the whey to the pigs npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah water is at a premium here. Very little gets watered daily. This is something I need to address. But not today π€£ npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket It looks an awful lot like what they call no mow grass here (Zoysia tenuifolia). But if it's Irish moss it's something completely different. It needs a lot of water? npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I'm borderline retarded sometimes. I'm just rarely in front of the camera if I can help it. Kids & dogs can bring out the silliness. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I think he was more interested in the little wolf than hot bunny making Turkey noises π€£ To Rocky π₯ npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket https://i.nostr.build/bcyvvPdTthubpih9.gif npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I see what you're saying in terms of building soil quickly. I reckon I'd prefer cows shitting on my land rather humanure. People put some really gross things down their throats & cows are easier to manage. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Nah not really enough land to host a big one at mine. Buying 100 acres has been the dream since I bought my first sats. I've just got to be patient & let Bitcoin do it's thing, but it's been a while. We've actually got a Bitcoin friendly festival site in the numinbah valley close to natural bridge. We're camping there next weekend. He has 2 permanent composting toilets & a few portable ones. He calls the byproduct of them humanure. I'm not sure why he doesn't dump biochar at the bottom of his. Its a great way to charge it up. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I've been turning something similar around in my mind for a while. Initially Bitcoin highlighted the moral imperative for all individuals to act selfishly & live their best lives. Then my sense of self expanded which meant my acting selfishly started looking like acting for others. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah he knew what Bitcoin was. He just didn't want the dollar to die on his watch. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Haha it's wild for sure. That invention has to be Bitcoin right? It's the idea who's time has come. The great decentraliser! A catalyst for what was already certainly coming but hadn't taken any real form yet. In hindsight it will be obvious but I can feel it. Humanity will rise again. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah that's a pretty fair explanation. When I couldn't leave in 2020 I felt trapped. I looked into if it was even possible to physically leave. You could get out but it would be at a heavy cost. When I could leave, I couldn't figure out where to go that would come close to the reality of living in rural Australia right now. I think these lands are managed by China now but they're not interested in taking them or micro managing them. As long as we keep digging up the resources & shipping then north, they have little reason to intervene. What would make it glorious is if purchasing a land lease was a lot less expensive in bitcoin terms. The land is full of mineral resources but it's lacking in carbon. It takes time to build soil & I want you start building it at scale. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Even when I meet bitcoiners in person, we rarely talk Bitcoin or what event will send it to the moon or down to $58k. We talk about side hustles, beef, land, inflation, solar projects, etc. It's become just a savings technology to me but I care about the opinions of people who use it & get it. I want to compare notes. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I bet they made a mint out of these 2 schmucks Laughing all the way to the mint, they are npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Consensus in Bitcoin is a funny one since we recently had a chain split. A group that had consensus with every block up until this 1 block suddenly broke off. They maintain that their chain is the real Bitcoin. Now there's 2 consensuses, but I digress. Nag Hamaddi library was discovered in Egypt, 1945 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket That's a great neighbour & friend to have! npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Hi Jeff, can you add this npub to the group when you get a chance please? npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Wow I've not heard it called the bandwagon fallacy before. I think of it as the illusion of objective reality. We all perceive the collision of frequencies differently with our range of senses & perspectives. There's no certainty to be found here brother. π« npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah I did the math & voted bitcoin. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket They're all good for saving their seeds, the cucumber especially since we usually pick the fruit before the seeds have matured. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah we sound pretty well aligned & largely on the same page. I think there's a slight difference in our definitions of the word judgement. There's clearly nothing wrong with arriving at a conclusion that requires action. If I arrived at a conclusion about a situation I would probably use a different word than judge to describe how I reached that conclusion. My fight was always with my own internal judge & victim (the roles I play, not others). It's the playing of these roles & how quickly we assume them that I find most disturbing & destructive. Its just so pervasive in western culture. So much engineered separation. Judging someone as good or bad is probably the most destructive. Nobody deserves that sort of judgement & I don't believe even God judges us like this. If you're going to judge, judge the action or situation not the person. My own judge is primarily concerned with judging my actions. I thought this was OK, that everything I do, can be improved & done better. I didn't notice the effect that this had on others around me. I still judge my actions, I can't help it sometimes but I'm more careful about how I verbalise these judgements. I don't want people to think I'm judging everything that they do & by extension them. I'm so glad that you persisted in exploring this topic with me. It's a particularly difficult one to break down & I think my own definitions have shifted from it. ππ« npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Why is nobody talking about this? npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket It's the separation & dehumanisation that I think is most disturbing about most cries of & for judgement. Judgement wants to separate that human from all the other humans. There are some actions that require judgement but if you're not the victim, why do you think your judgement has any weight? I'm OK with stringing child traffickers up from a tree but that's not really the type of judgement I'm talking about. Most people can't even trace their judgement to the wrong committed or the damage caused. They're just trying to elevate themselves up by shitting on someone else's character. This is the judgement that is most common & what becomes obvious when you actively try to be impeccable with you word. Ironically you find yourself judging yourself for judging others for judging so much. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket You woke up & chose violence I see Good morning beautiful ππ« npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket We're south of the equator so heading into spring. I've let these daikon get too big to eat I think π€£ Once they're done setting seed I'll harvest & I might have a go at the dongchimi. I've never heard of it π npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I just like the crunchy, spicy, tangy taste combined with the crunch of pickled root vegetables & cabbage. Salt is the must have to sway conditions towards lactoferment. You don't need to buy unpasteurised yogurt to inoculate some home made kimchi. This is the type of unnecessary specifics that cause me to bail on simple projects. Making kimchi suddenly became too complex for St Germain too I bet. I usually tip some juice from the previous batch into the next to help inoculate but it's not necessary. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket You don't even need yogurt, there's natural yeasts on the cabbage & in the air to get it started. I bought some kimchi from Aldi only to find out it had been cooked to make it shelf stable. It was so gross but I should have known better. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah it's one of the few ways I eat vegetables. I just lactoferment a bunch of bokchoy & daikon with chili, ginger, garlic, onion & shrimp paste & call it kimchi. I never seem to be able to find daikon though. The last time I bought a jar it was pretty expensive for what it was. I remember buying huge bags of it from the Asian markets for basically nothing as a young bloke. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket This daikon radish is finally going to seed & is loved by the little Australian stingless bees. It turns out they're really hard to take a photo of even though there's so many. I'm letting it go to seed & will plant it to use in Kimchi & also encourage more life in my garden. https://file.nostrmedia.com/p/96c87765d900b169f5fdd8bc19bf97bd8c6d163ff416a89d45cbb7cac48c9433/6e40f9fec57839104db7e28b4900b3b4fc7ed8de68996b1020954ff3d853d96d.jpeg https://file.nostrmedia.com/p/96c87765d900b169f5fdd8bc19bf97bd8c6d163ff416a89d45cbb7cac48c9433/7f63ea5cd24ad735b04b00b75b49e0eb9dd4a783eae9a2cc9d846e4c82ff42b4.jpeg npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Congrats amigo! π₯π npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket https://i.nostr.build/NXZD0C2w7hO7RYZ5.gif npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket My belly is soft & squishy Ken π€π€£ My understanding is that it takes quite a lot of self abuse to maintain high visceral fat levels. It's too big & complex that I'll likely ignore it & then get judgemental over my lack of willpower. The thing is, it's not usually willpower I lack, its just how my mind works. For instance, if I wanted a biltong box to make use of free heated air I wouldn't add "build biltong box" to my list. I'd add the first critical step. At this point I've already decided what I want & researched how to build it. My first step might be "procure small cupboard" or "buy 6x4; buy hole saw; buy wood screwsβ. I have to make it easy for myself to get started on the bigger project & mitigate against the project stalling. I don't need to capture everything I do, down on a list. Just the things I can't prioritise or keep forgetting. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Good morning Yeah I couldn't resist replying to that one before bed. It's a topic that was almost engineered to induce a reply from me π I forgot to ask what "spiritual bypassing" is. From my perspective I don't think there's any bypassing. The spiritual journey for me could be summarised as a movement from self loathing to self loving with an expansion of my definition of self. I couldn't get from where I was to where I am without exploring a lot of dark shit within. It was all within. Ultimately judgement comes from a resistance to what is. It disappears when you accept things & yourself as they are. You could in theory bypass a lot of uncomfortable exploring if you simply replaced your limiting beliefs with more empowering beliefs. Your subconscious mind can't do this instantly though as it has a history of painful experiences to justify the limiting beliefs. The victim & judge roles are both very disempowering to the individual. You're essentially externalising the cause of all your suffering. It's not my fault, it's them. If only they were less selfish & more considerate, things wouldn't be so shit on earth. Alternate more empowering & less limiting beliefs sound like: - I am worthy of existing - everything is perfect the way it is - on some level I chose to experience all of it - everything is always working out for me I know these sound like affirmations & it's not a case of forcing these beliefs in by repeating them ad infinitem. When you say them & they don't resonate fully, what is that part of you that says "no, that's BS?" It's the hurt part of you that's holding on to the limiting belief. Recognising the hurt, articulating the limiting belief & showing compassion for yourself is what healing looks like. I believe the greater you wants you to heal & to recognise just how expansive & limitless you are. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I do my best not to play the judge or victim. Letting go the victim was easy but it took a really long time reduce my judgement of others & myself. When I judge others I become more aware that others are judging me. Judgement is a double edged sword & I'd prefer to see things as neutral. I quetly laugh at people as they spazz their way around, oblivious to everyone around them but I do my best not to judge. It took me a long while to distinguish judgement from discernment. I feel discernment is seeing clearly what is playing out. It's the observation, the noticing & the recognising. The judgement comes when we wrap a story around it. Observing without judgement is really hard but it can be done. Judgement feels like seperation. Ask yourself why you want to separate yourself from them? Most importantly, don't judge yourself for judging & trust your gut/heart.π«π npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket An early lemon & some late parsley? If bitcoin dips below $58K, MSTR could go below $100. I have a line of credit that I'd consider using in such a scenario. There's weird games being played with MSTR & bitcoin. Weird games are also being played in tradfi. Bitcoin in cold storage is the low risk play from where I'm standing. STRC can go to $50. There is no peg although it was kinda sold as a bank account which infers a peg. It would be strange that people would sell it at such a discount, but it doesn't matter that much to Strategy. If it's below par, they can't use STRC to pump bitcoin & MSTR. At worst he gets to buy back some of his dividend obligations for a fraction of what he raised. STRC is not a liability & legally they never have to repurchase the shares. Strategy's biggest competitor is the big banks, so yes he's got some powerful enemies. You don't get a vote, you choose a network. You seem like a decent human who believes that because Bitcoin Core is compromised, Bitcoin is also similarly corrupted. Once you break from the main network your opinion matters less to the 80% of people who will swing to whatever is popular. If you believe in Bitcoin. I have no appetite to get more exposure unless there is some black swan event that bombs Bitcoin's price. If MSTR drops back below $100, I'll grab a few more. STRC is just the fixed income product. It feeds capital into their Bitcoin treasury at the cost of ongoing dividends. I suspect Saylor's powerful "enemies" were trying to slow him down rather than stop him. We will see soon, STRC is only 40 cents below par. The most interesting part of all this is watching bitcoin's usual volatility get transferred to MSTR stock. It's pretty crazy to see. The ability to trade a tiny bit of your long term savings for things of value, without permission is huge. The fact that we don't use it as a currency is more indicative of how we mostly trade. I use bitcoin with people that I trust who provide me things of value. No second thoughts. It's often not advantageous to use bitcoin right now but the fact that you can is huge. You can set up to receive it anonymously in seconds, that knowledge will spread when it matters. I think empowering the individual to resist the insidious hidden tax (inflation) is huge. Many will turn to it again & I think an emphasis on long term savings with little to no third party risk will resonate. They can spend it once they control it. Getting started is the hardest part sometimes because once you're doing, you get consumed by the doing. You get those little dopamine rushes & then 2hrs go by before you notice. I have a running "things I can do list" and I add stuff to guide the doing part of me towards action that is strategically aligned with my goals. Once I'm in doing mode I lose what little executive function I have & get consumed by the task. Like you I sprinkle it with small, easy tasks that can be completed in 30 minutes. Nothing complex or likely to have bottle necks but completing it makes my life a little better. This reduces my tendency to do stuff to procrastinate doing the big complex job that is important to have done. The ADHD mind doesn't give a shit how important the job is, it's more interested in novelty. I also add a starting task for the big job to my list. Just like the other tasks, it's simple & quick to complete. I know that once I complete that little task I'll have momentum & I'll want to keep going as I like the feeling of closure. If on the otherhand I stall & get bored after that first task, I move on with my day. I'll later add the next best little task to complete to my list that keeps the big project moving forward. The big thing for me was understanding that the doing part of me doesn't care how important something is. He only cares if it's interesting & stimulating. Giving him small novel tasks that have lowish importance was a game changer for getting shit done. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah they're very different to the pebbles on this beach. I have no problem with communism within the household or community as long as it's opt in & out. Scarcity in the physical is an illusion & currency units aren't wealth. We do need to find a way to redistribute the wealth more fairly though without coercion. We will triumph of course.
