I know that this is today's accepted technical usage in English, but it is still strange to me, because etymologically, "tele" is the greek word for "far", hence a telescope was something with which you could look at far-away things. Therefore it would seem logical that photographic lenses to capture far-away things would also be referred to as "tele-". I have no idea when or why this narrowing of terms to only specific construction properties might have happened.
In German, "Teleobjektiv" is commonly used simply for a lens with a long focal length, because otherwise we would have to say "Objektiv mit langer Brennweite", which is too cumbersome. "Langes Objektiv" would almost universally be understood to refer to the physical length, except by people routinely talking in English about photography.

This is annoying. I wanted to support Cory Doctorow (@npub1fdr…lvhs) on kickstarter for his latest book, but now I have to pay an additional $0.70 VAT, and must enter a post address to receive an ebook? And a Javascript from facebook (besides the tons of google stuff that is almost expected these days) is active (or rather blocked by noscript) on the kickstarter site. It is sad that seemingly all such platforms are part of the enshittification he is trying so hard to overcome.

It was three (two in the front, one in the rear), and there are a number of reasons for this. Other airliners are similar.
Aviation bolts are high-tech devices, and their properties are very well defined, quality-controlled and regularly inspected. They don't generally fail. In fact, in this case, they didn't. The lugs failed.
Another reason (also why are mounted via spherical bearings) is the mounting needs to flex, and that is easier accomplished with fewer mount points. Engines vibrate, and all parts expand and contract during the flight; the mounting must be able to handle that without creating additional stresses.
Third, there are huge forces when an engine rotor seizes. It is rare, but the angular momentum in the rotor could rip the wing apart, therefore the bolts are frangible. Losing an engine is preferable to severely damaging the wing.

It's real. Just a bit of NASA humour: https://space.stackexchange.com/questions/23021/is-this-attach-orbiter-here-note-black-side-down-sign-on-the-shuttle-carrie
(Earlier versions apparently included the "lefty-loosey, righty-tighty" part, too, as @npub10m8…6gmu commented.)
And being nitpicky, it's a photo of the left side-mount, not the front mount.

I think it's even more like Australia in the Commonwealth, but it's really somewhere in between.
Scotland is much more directly controlled by London than Greenland is by Copenhagen. Except for foreign policy and defence, Denmark has little influence on the everyday lives of Greenlanders, whereas the parliament in Londen has direct legislative power over most aspects of the UK.
Greenlanders have EU citizenship, although Greenland as a country is not a member state.

I don't think you'd get a permit if you wanted to hold it in a cage. You'd probably at least need a large voliere, and even then it would probably need to be special circumstances, such as caring for an injured animal, or doing valuable research.

Well, you need an official permit if you want to. I don't know details but I think you need to demonstrate that you can care for them adequately, so it can be legal.
