On evm it may be an onchain verifier contract so not exactly L1 consensus. This is a big challenge for Bitcoin. Here I reported on a system that should be capable to work with statecoins in decentralized vault system that may allow multiparty blind consigning either on federated way or withthin Co ownership model (already tried on a prototype). But it is not fully verifiable snark. For them i am not sure I have a good ideas how it might work. But existing platform should technically allow to wrap ultra honk into groth and then use it in bitvm like flow.

For the first time our user tested a flow BTC > Stablecoins without centralized exchanges. Minted tBTC and swapped them via OpenOcean and vault.satsbridge.com, sent to pay bills. Conversion rate was not good -4% to average price though. Ideally Vault should allow to use Uniswap or other DEX but "routers" deliver better prices especially on thin markets like tBTC.

Also in case Amethyst - Valet I receive nice LNURL message attached. It is worth to be noted that lnaddress - invoicing should consume additional time, so ideally with it may work faster and of course it can be so with ZBD.

It is important that you can't compare lending bitcoins, normally, since bitcoins are the best collateral. Lending will always lead to additional risk but in lightning it appears to be measurable while in other cases it is subject to third-party evaluations or collateral asset depreciation against bitcoins.

Compared to onchain fees. That's theoretical numbers derived from papers about payment systems from 1960s. On such timescale LN if compared to legacy payment systems is looking like a frog leaping forward like crazy.
Force closings are problem indeed and it is worrysome that everybody is busy with something not including FC as KPI. But this is free market activity entirely. So we'll, cest la vie.
Dashed line is for hosted channels on this plot. Horizontal axis is payment frequency. Vertical is for economic effect which is difference between onchain and lightning network operational costs.
