In an effort to subsidize large “Canadian” tech companies and insulate them from failed business models, the Canadian federal government has announced $2 billion worth of “investment in AI.”
That’s the revenue of the CBC.
The explanation is that doing this will help “young Canadians prepare for a good-paying future jobs”.
I guess nobody has told the feds that AI is being used to reduce good-paying jobs and cut the salaries of those who are left doing them.
What a fucking joke.
