Didn’t mention it but this sorta thing also applies to Nikke to me as well. I don’t play the game but the one girl I do like from the game has a design philosophy that isn’t seen much these days anymore.

Well, Kainé isn’t as well endowed as 2B and from a general design perspective I feel 2B was designed to specifically appeal to the largest margin as possible. Again, it’s not a bad thing and she is very attractive. Just that I’ve seen plenty of 2B kinda of design philosophy for years now.

With all these complaints about the gender ratio in 3D gachas, it genuinely makes me wonder why they even add male characters in the first place. Like y’all the ones wanting to get a more mainstream audience, that means actual catering to what they want, in this instance it’s male characters. So you either cater to them or just make a female only gacha.

So I guess pettans are doomed to be the irrelevant ones in gachas because how have none of Nikke bros ever made me aware that there are pettans in your game.
Never saw announcements for them, fanart, anything. (These are pics I got from someone who plays Nikke). And apparently they haven’t made a new pettan in quite awhile.

And it’s no surprise that gachas companies don’t make “black” characters as often as they could, just look at how these people react when it comes to skin color in Genshin. And like I said this is way more sexist towards women because it's telling them that this body type lawful and right in this context, which further perpetuates the 'toxic' idea of female beauty standards. Of and notice that they don't take into account men either.

It’s not even a consent thing, they straight up think a grown woman without the stereotypical sexy woman figure and look is a little girl, and therefore can’t be sexual even by her self. ESPECIALLY if she appeals to men.
Reminder of the woman who did a cosplay as Tastumaki and idiots were calling her a pedo enabler and such because of her small and petite figure with a cute face. It really says a lot more about them and how they see characters and real women who don’t fall under their criteria than it does us for preferring and appreciating petite figures.

2025-01-30 13:13:36 GMT

I’m starting to realize why pettans (and to a lesser extent lolis) have been getting less fanservice over the years compared to the big booba girls. It’s because a ton of people on the internet and running some of these big companies (payment processors) are genuinely retarded. They see a character with a flat chest and automatically assume said character and sometimes real adult woman are underage and/or sexualizing underage girls.
Hilariously this is actually more misogynistic and sexist than these same people claiming a female showing skin is a problem.

I remember someone said that they are glad Furina and Hu Tao don’t have fanservice unlike all the big booba girls in Genshin. Yes they do, it’s that they don’t have in your face fanservice like the big booba girls.
They are pettans so their fanservice revolves around two things: Flat chests + cute and shapely butts.

I miss when gachas weren’t mainstream in the west.

Yeah, sad to see so many pettanko tropes not get around anymore. The only one that’s kinda still around (but barely) is pettans that get mad and aggressive when their chest size is brought up. Which to me is very surface level and often times these days it’s not done in an interesting way.

People always draw the left girl as a loli but I never seen her as such.

Why’d they rename her?

People gotta remember that Genshin along with many other gachas heavily cater to their Chinese audience, and China heavily favors female characters. When looking at it from that standpoint it makes sense as to why Hoyo is going this route.
The reason Nueve, Zhongli, Kazuha, Alhathiam are used a lot like he says is because of how strong they are, extra points to Zhongli because of how heavily he represents China to Chinese players.

I’d like to shout out those creators on Iwara who made wholesome Furina sex videos. She deserves them.

Having well built male characters with good muscles seems to be something Chinese players don’t want because they think that guy will steal their waifu.

It’s interesting to me that the whole male to female ratio topic in gacha games have become so prevalent in recent years.
A lot of it definitely has to do with the fact that people who find it as a problem only got into gachas after Genshin and only stay to games that are similar to Genshin.
The way I see, top rarity male characters in games that are mainly filled with women tend to be very good in terms of gameplay, and the ones that aren’t, the devs put a lot of effort to make them better after release, see Zhongli, Passenger in Arknights, and Nuevelite (referring to the first point), so from my perspective, it’s actually a good thing that gachas release less male characters than female because that means they’ll have more time to cook better. Whereas for female characters getting more releases they are more likely to get some duds along the way.

Furina and Hu Tao are the prime examples of this. Both very popular, very strong, 5 stars, great personalities, and are very flat.

The one good thing about Genshin is the amount of fanservice it has for pettans. Pretty much the only gacha out right now that gives pettans love.

The underlying implication of Ishtar is that women don’t need to have a big tits, hips, and ass to be the embodiment of beauty, lust, and fertility. In fact in some mythologies the goddess of fertility is indeed depicted with petite features.

Remember when console wars were a thing and whenever one console was on top their respective company proceeded to do something really stupid with their next console thinking their consumers would just get along with it, in turn having another company steal the spotlight, and then the cycle repeats.
Yeah that’s what Sony is doing right now but the PS5 was never on top.
