what are the pros and cons of swapping using cake vs. using a swap service directly? do I lose any privacy by using cake?

Thanks Max. I phrased in incorrectly. What I was trying to say is, are your coins participating into mixing cycles lately? I just don't want to put some coins, pay the fee and see it all idling for weeks

Have you read Petter Todd's paper comparing Payjoin, Join market and Wasabi? https://petertodd.org/2025/coinjoin-comparison
He concludes that "I personally do not use Wasabi alone. I prefer to use coinjoined coins to open lightning channels, and actually spend my money with Lighting. That layers two very different privacy techniques, such that both would have to fail for my financial privacy to be affected.". What do you think about it?

www.whirlpoolstats.xyz/chart shows no activity whatsoever in Ashigaru Whirlpool in the last weeks. no new coins, no cycles. do you know why? are you guys using it? should we the plebs use it?
