I wrote a little about why I think photographers can’t ignore the Fediverse anymore.
There’s also an English version on the site — just use the language switcher.

A little reminder about the first article on Dystronix.
The article is written in Japanese, but you can switch to the English version using the button at the top of the page.

Many people who are already part of the Fediverse may simply prefer quieter spaces.
Some use it almost like a personal journal, sharing photographs without feeling the need to constantly explain or promote them.
The more I think about whether photography is simply a record or a piece of work, the more I question a culture where photographs are endlessly consumed on centralized platforms.
I have a feeling I’m not the only one who feels that way. #photography

As for quoting other users, it seems that whether or not this is possible varies by instance. That’s typical of the Fediverse.

mstdn.jpのみの不具合だったのかな

Is there any clear information on that? I saw information indicating instances are on an upward trend, but blsky seems to be stagnating as well.

I don't see much new news related to the fediverse. I might just be missing it, but I hope this means the #fediverse is stabilizing.

Ultimately, I think activitypub seems like the healthier option, but for some reason, many people on bsky don't think highly of it. I don’t know why

2025-09-23 05:15:53 GMT

This issue likely stems from the fact that most users are on blsky.social. While some have been saying the same thing for a while, this situation reaffirms that it was far too early to call it decentralized. https://flip.it/NqMgSe #fediverse

Are you talking about the Fediverse? What exactly does that mean?

2025-09-20 04:24:07 GMT

I didn't realize the situation was this bad since there's so little information available in Japan. Thinking about it this way, doesn't the #fediverse prove itself superior as a decentralized system? At least for now.
