A large number of Ukrainian drones have hit the Engels 2 airbase in Saratov Oblast, Russia, during the night. This base is home to Putin's Tupolev Tu-160 and Tupolev Tu-95MS strategic bombers.
There are many videos from different angles showing triangle shaped drones approaching the airbase while Russian air defence is firing.
I am wondering if Ukraine is using a new drone type, because this is clearly not the usual Ukrainian Bober drones. They look more like a copy of the Iranian Shahed-136.

The central bank of Denmark, Nationalbanken, today announced its new offline payment system which means Danes will be able to pay digitally at the store — even when the internet is down.
This means both credit card payments and cellphone payments go through at the counter up to 7 days into an internet breakdown, because of a new technological solution which is being rolled out at grocery stores first.

Multiple bridges have been destroyed, including the B1 Bridge shown here, which was a 173 meter long bridge over the Karaj river west of Tehran.
Bombing bridges could have a military purpose if the U.S. was in a land war with Iran, e.g. to prevent the movement of tanks. But in the current situation, Trump has simply decided to bomb costly civilian infrastructure to force the Iranian regime to obey him. This is illegal.

Danish marine archeologists have found the Danish Navy ship Danebroge which was sunk in The Battle of Copenhagen on April 2, 1801, by Lord Nelson and his British fleet.
On that day, Denmark had 1500 fallen, Britain 400.
The attack ended with a peace agreement which lasted until 1807 where the Brits attacked again and stole the entire Danish fleet.

Today is election day in Denmark. Voters of the kingdom will elect 179 representatives for the Parliament, including two members elected in Greenland and two in The Faroe Islands.
One thing is certain: The current centrist government will not continue, as all three parties will lose a significant number of seats, including the Socialdemocrats who may be reduced by one third.

What is the election process in your country?
In Denmark, 2-3 weeks before election day, each voter receives a physical token in the mail proving they are eligible to vote.
To make sure everyone gets the chance to vote, the state sends out an SMS to everyone that the elections are on Tuesday.
We then bring the token to the voting hall, and a volunteer ensures that the token is listed on the voter roll.
Finally we get the ballot and for privacy, we vote inside a box the size of a phone booth.

Imagine if US voters had picked Kamela Harris. She would have continued the Ukraine weapons support, she would have kept the strong alliances with Europe, and she would never have killed the Iran nuclear deal.
Together we could have forced Putin out of Ukraine, there would have been no new, wider war in The Middle East, and the NATO alliance would have been stronger than ever. And in that situation, I think our economies would have been considerably stronger too.

The real reason Trump posted he wanted to send a hospital ship to Greenland, most likely is the fact that Danish Joint Arctic Command just evacuated a US Navy Sailor from a US submarine near Greenland, because the sailor was in need of acute medical attention.
Trump might have been asked to thank Denmark for this important help, but instead Trump came up with this weird distraction to hand to Fox News that the US is the one helping Denmark with a hospital ship, as if we did not have hospitals.

Tuesday, Pope Leo XIV announced that his government, The Holy See, will not be joining Trump’s Board of Peace. That is a good thing.
However, the Board of Peace was announced on September 29, and they needed 141 days to come to the conclusion, that the Catholic Church would not help Trump create a corrupt version of the UN?

Very serious development in Denmark. An association founded by Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen is under police investigation, after authorities have discovered irregularities in their accounting.
Danish law requires transparency about political funding, but according to a journalist investigating the matter, the association has illegally collected money for Løkke’s party Moderaterne, in a way which makes it impossible to trace the money.

Yesterday, a person speaking American tried to raise the American flag in Nuuk, Greenland. Bystanders immediately stopped him.
Turns out, this was German comedian Maximilian Schafroth. The Kingdom of Denmark has been threatened with war. Greenlandic children are traumatized. People are not sleeping. Soldiers are patrolling to prevent the invation. And Schafroth thought this would be a fun stunt in our age of disinformation.

I don't know if Americans realize what happened between the US and Denmark.
No matter whom I listen to, the feeling is the same: Our bilateral relationship is dead.
I grew up in a country filled with gratitude towards The US, because of The Normandy Landings. The US was loved.
The feeling now is anger. Our Kingdom has been threatened twice in 100 years: Hitler's occupation and Trump's attempted annexation of Greenland.
It saddens me, but I sense this will not easily be forgotten.

Trump now claims he will introduce tariffs on countries that does not support his plans to take over Greenland.
Two points:
— The US Supreme Court is currently evaluating whether Trump's tariffs are even legal, so it is not even certain that Trump can do this.
— If Trump imposes these tariffs, the EU will likely change the soft approach to Trump, immediately introducing reciprocal tariffs from the entire union, at which point Trump might fold, as he did with China.

The United States stood firm on the position that Greenland should belong to the US, which neither the people of Greenland wants, nor is it acceptable to Denmark.

This week I had to call my local municipality because there was an issue with the snow clearing service.
For years, when I have called, I have always been greeted by a team of friendly, female receptionists who were impressively good at knowing exactly which one of their 11,000 employees you should talk to.
To my dismay, I found out these women have now been replaced by an AI robot voice. I truly do not get how anyone would think that would be a better solution.
I felt completely alienated.

It is a complete disregard for truth, for logic, and for the laws of the land.
