The US is far behind El Salvador when it comes to stacking #Bitcoin.
(relatively speaking that is)
Comparing each nation's GDP, the US is 825 times larger than El Salvador. Therefor, the US's stack should be 825 times larger than El Salvador's stack.
The US stack should be 6,217,200 BTC not 328,372, if they want to catch up to El Salvador.
Good luck with that!
"The first nation that starts stacking Bitcoin, WINS!!!"
(that sure turned out to be true)

It means Trump is far more Bitcoin friendly than the Biden or Harris.
Trump created the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve with an EO, Biden didn't do that. Yes, it's very limiting since it's an EO, but it sends a message. He will sign a bill from congress (the Bitcoin Act) which creates an SBR congress can fund. This bill was supposed to be up for vote in late August, but it didn't happen. Trump wants it to happen, I believe it will happen, just not this year. It's the government... These things always take more time than anyone thinks.
Bitcoin doesn't need anyone or any government. I'm not a statist. I hate pretty much all governments because they are too corrupt. But I do believe having a large powerful government like the US that is pro Bitcoin can help Bitcoin advance. At least it's better than a large powerful government that's anti-Bitcoin, like Biden was and I believe Harris would have been.

Now I'm seeing those transactions in my wallet, but most of them are doubled. So now, instead of have an extra 315,000 Sats, my wallet is short 226,000 Sats.
Are you still working on repairing the data loss?
Can I expect the 226,000 Sats back in my wallet soon?
I also have a different Coinos wallet that's missing a few incoming transaction from around the time of the data loss. That wallet is short 1,554 Sats.
Please let me know what's going on here. Are you still working on repairing the data loss?

OK.
You let me know when exchanges stop listing the Bitcoin price in dollars and start listing it in ounces of gold.
When is Weimar type inflation coming to the US? Maybe 3 years, maybe 10, maybe 30.
Washington DC has become very proficient at kicking the can down the road. I remember hearing talk about how the US debt is too high back when it was under a trillion. They said "The US won't be able to function with a trillion dollar debt." And now, here we are, with almost 35 trillion in debt. And the taxpayers are projected to pay $1.2 trillion in interest on the debt this year, and they think it will be $3 trillion in 5 years. So maybe hyperinflation is coming sooner than I think.
But the doom and gloomers have been "crying wolf" for far too long. Maybe this time the wolf really is just outside the door, or maybe it's still one or two decades away.
I am old. I'm lucky if I have 2 decades left in me. Will I see Weimar type inflation in the US in my lifetime? Maybe... But I'm not holding my breath.
If you are in your 20's, 30's, 40's, or even 50's, you need to worry about it a lot more than I do.

At this time, using USD (or some other fiat) is the best way to gauge the value of the Bitcoin you're holding.
Maybe in the future there might be a better way to know it's value.
When people buy Bitcoin, they need to know how much Bitcoin they will get for unit of fiat. I don't know of any exchange that doesn't have the BTC/USD price.

2024-06-28 20:22:13 GMT

An 18% pullback after a 377% run up hardly seems like something to worry about.
#Bitcoin typically has several 20 to 40% pullbacks during it's big runs up.

I used an inflation calculator to find the inflation rate from 2020.
It said that if you bought something in 2020 for $1,200 it would cost $1,453.79 in 2024, which is a 21.1% increase.
So if you multiply $1,200 by 78.9% you get $946.80.
Then I just rounded to $950.
There are many inflation calculators out there. Some give slightly different numbers.
Here's the one I used.
