sony recorders have the highest quality mics out there.
I have the PCM-M10 and you'd be hard pressed to find anything of that quality at that price point today.

@npub1z8r…mrq6 quite curious what your plans are for the xteink4 os.
My old kindle voyage screen broke and I was wanting a new e-reader. This thing looks like something I'd actually have on me enough to use it!

The shape of that hat works so well with your face.
An air of "working class decadence", a re-incarnation of the paper boy from the Titanic era, with gangster power of Peaky Blinders-esque England, with elegance and minimalism of a jockey racer and that boy on the corner quietly smoking a cigarette, admiring the world with every pause in his lungs.

@npub1z2c…laft @npub1z8r…mrq6
Thinking of you two, having a thought.
There lies, under the mountain of widgets, toys and artful artifacts, an aspect of 100r that is most extraordinary and yet much unseen:
Your relationship, the companionship itself. The framework of your co-being, your processes of togetherness, love, relationship navigation, negotiation, maintenance, intimacy, conflict, repair, etc.
It's easy to get distracted by all the novel shit you do, and not notice just the kind of resonance and entunement it takes to achieve it.
This subject so far is only graspable through subtext of your sharings, logbook entries and just the sheer volume of your collaborative work and its content.
I think you both have a lot of valuable perspectives to share on the art of coupling/relating, that I hope you one day write about :)

Get your inbox under control.
Spend what it takes, sit down, unsubscribe from shit you don't read, have AI summarize things you still want to keep on top of, action your invoices, and reply to people you care about.
It's out of control because you let it.
If it were important, you'd do it.

You can keep tinkering, but start solving real problems too.
Time to stop playing with adult equivalents of round-peg-round-hole toys. It's not making you smarter, more capable, patient, or resilient. It just keeps your mind occupied with frivolous curiosities that distract you from doing worthwhile and difficult things.
There are infinite kinds of suffering you could alleviate in the world, pick one.
Don't just keep yourself feeling busy with false sense of progress.
Invest your attention.

Life is easier with mechanical advantage. Do you not want a windlass? Even a manual one?
Having to move the hauling line up and engage a chain stopper is not simpler than servicing a winch once a year, and is certainly less safe in many respects.
