Pastor Runyan warns that rejecting this truth isn't just disbelief-it's betraying God Himself, demanding full submission, trust, prayer, and gratitude or risking deadly spiritual fallout amid impending judgment.

Deuteronomy 31 grapples with Israel's fragile future after Moses, spotlighting Joshua's leadership, the written law, and a prophetic song as crucial yet insufficient witnesses. The deeper challenge is that human weakness inevitably calls for Spirit-driven salvation through Christ, turning law's letter into life and failure into redemption.

Shepherds, Hirelings, and Wolves
In John 10, Jesus reveals Himself as the good shepherd who sacrificially lays down His life for the sheep, contrasting with hirelings who abandon the flock at danger's approach. This teaching calls us to discern genuine pastoral care grounded in Christ's protective love and to embrace a shepherd who guards the flock from false leaders and spiritual harm.

Gospel Victory and the Mustard Tree
In Matthew 13, Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to a tiny mustard seed and yeast that grow into expansive, life-giving forces, illustrating the assured, gradual victory of God's kingdom despite present challenges. This teaching challenges a pessimistic, defeatist worldview, encouraging believers to boldly serve as confident warriors, trusting God's promise of ultimate gospel triumph over all opposition.
