Browser based password managers are really convenient but they can feel a little less than secure at times. A nice idea might be accepting a Yubikey or similar device as a login-time credential that is both fast and a little more secure than a password.
Does anyone know if any browsers implement something like this that *isnt* just a password?

How about Mr. Lapster?
Dr. Lappin?
Or perhaps my favorite: Sir Lappington

As far as I can tell none of the biggest instances have de-federated with Fosstodon. Is anyone maintaining a list of the instances who did? I'm interested in the scale of this situation and the potential of opening dialog with those who have.
Big thanks to @npub1z3w…c039 for having faith in this community and taking the helm in it's hour of darkness.

Thanks for the clarification, that makes sense. I hadn’t considered managing it per-app. I see your point about indefinite access, though I don’t use apps that access the camera/microphone in the background. It’s technically possible, though. Sometimes I go days without using apps with camera/mic access, so a time-based toggle could be useful, though it seems redundant. Do you know how long the one-time access lasts? Is it per app session?

@npub1kwa…e0nj a feature I feel is missing from Graphene is the ability to turn off Camera/Mic access after some amount of time. Similar to the ability to control wifi/bluetooth. Is there a reason this feature hasn't been implemented yet?

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. A unified #email + #DM would be such a great idea for #Mastodon or another such #ActivityPub based service. Since ActivityPub user IDs are so similar to email addresses there is no reason why you shouldn't also be able to receive an email to your ActivityPub account's DMs. And also be able to send an email via ActivityPub DMs.
