It’s funny how you can take 5 years to get kinda comfortable being yourself, existing in public, wearing cute clothes you like. Basically getting to the “ok I think I can do this” stage.
Then along comes a woman with such vastly superior confidence, style, and life experience that you’re left gasping “oh my god” in the corner like a teenage schoolgirl as you realise how much road is left ahead of you. But crucially… showing you how you could be. What options are open to you if you want. 💖

Maybe I’m just in denial. Maybe I’m not paying enough attention to what’s going on around me. Maybe that’s my protection mechanism… I don’t know. I’m fine by the way, this is the last I’ll think of them. Not super sure what the point of this thread was, it was just… bugging me. [8/8]

Yup, they put a little probe into each hair follicle and zap it with electricity. It's slower, more expensive, and more painful than laser, but it's 100% permanent!

Better in the long run, since nobody can take it away from you. I'm increasingly distrustful of platforms since they can just delete you in a second if they suddenly decide you're too "risky" for them...

I think I'd like something like a fox-inspired mech suit, with glowy armour pieces over the latex underneath... 🤤

guessing you’re doing laser? It will depend on both your skin/hair contrast, as well as what kind of laser your clinic is using. I did laser for 3 years once a month to get about 80% reduction, which is a lot slower than most people I know. By contrast the electrolysis clinic I just started at blasted me with their laser for 5 minutes and wow I FELT it.
My recommendation is go to a clinic specialising in trans hair removal if you can 😅

- reply

No, I mean… the laser that was used on me for the past 3 years obviously wasn’t as powerful, so no wonder results were so slow!

2026-08-14 10:25:54 GMT

Went for my second electrolysis session yesterday, on the hottest day of the year. 🥵
Clinician decided to try their laser on a part of my face that hadn’t seemed to respond much to 3 years of previous laser sessions.
Their laser felt like needles shooting into my skin. I could smell the hair burning. Holy shit.
Lesson learned: definitely go to places who specifically specialise in transgender hair removal!

2026-08-07 20:38:10 GMT

Tomorrow I have my first electrolysis session.
My face is my biggest source of dysphoria, the main reason I still mask in public. It's the reason why I can't leave my home for half the week, why I have to plan in advance so I can be presentable in public.
I know it's a long, painful, and expensive process but... holy shit. I'm gonna be free of this... fucking curse. I can't wait. I can't wait.

Sunday went a lot better. I had a very chill day, managed to talk through some of my brainworms, and gathered up the courage to not wallow in my own pity.
I shot a brand new photo album on the theme of pet play and even though I still haven't properly triaged the photos yet, I can't wait to show you the results. I think this came out REALLY good.
It's given me some badly needed confidence and reassurance that I am definitely NOT the person I used to be 10 years ago. 💖

I... had a really bad Saturday. It started with me running out of Cyberdog crying, it ended with me sobbing in the street, fully believing I'd regressed to the person I used to be ten years ago - invisible, undeserving of joy, and jealous of everyone around me.
I'm really sorry if you saw me on Saturday, I was having a super bad time spiralling.
