Last Notes npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier I attempted a gluten-free chocolate babka. Smells promising, we’ll see about the rest of it. #baking npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier I love the bonito flake dance npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier My first elderberry harvest, and the pie that included them #growyourown #cooking npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier A few from Balboa Park last month #silentsunday npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier Ok ok I’ll change servers. But where to go? I keep seeing posts from people whose awesome little niche servers have suddenly vanished or shut down or been defederated by some other large server for no apparent reason. npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier It’s crazy that it costs something like $30 PER DAY to test a small family for covid before responsibly sending them out into the world, or not, as the case may be. npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier This seems related to our tendency to trust that the brightly confident answer-shaped outputs of LLMs reflect some kind of underlying analytical process. npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier can’t sleep, so it’s frogpostin’ time npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier I have had half a margarita on poor sleep. Instead of drunk-dialing, drunk-texting, or drunk-tweeting, I am apparently going to drunk-toot on Mastodon npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier After today’s storm #dcwx npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier Shucking a small handful of the arugula seeds from one plant in the first crop; getting ready for some nice fall salads npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier Just like they said it would, this pineapple top is putting on new growth! #houseplantscrolling npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier @npub1ftd…4cve this is a clear-eyed, incisive, insightful piece. thank you for sharing it here. npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier Gave my three-hour talk. Reviews were mostly positive with a couple exceptions. Different people liked different parts. There are some things I would change for next time, different degrees of emphasis on certain things. I think I got some good points in. npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier it raimed 🙀 npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier This fuzzy feller found a flower to fall asleep on for the night. I am deeply, deeply miffed npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier he’s planting a plant!! #gardening #cucumber #compost npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier My delightful son begged me to buy these peonies at Home Despot last year because the box was very shiny. So I did. They are big and gaudy and don’t match my general crotchety cottagecore aesthetic but he likes them. #bloomscrolling npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier This week’s blossom report. #bloomscrolling npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier I’m in this post and I don’t like it npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier This languorous beauty is helping me get my work done npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier @npub14ha…pqf0 that would be so cool! npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier @npub14ha…pqf0 DC metro area, Arlington-ish. I’ve gotten a good number of birds to hang around, and we have chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits and foxes, but the old place (in Alexandria) had rats and opossums in the mix too. npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier @npub14ha…pqf0 I had a lot of ground cherry going at my old place once I let it rewild itself a little, but there’s no sign of it at the new place. ☹️ npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier Butterfly bush doing its thing #bloomscrolling npub1lgf0dd2rqaqh8arjqn957wt3q3y9u96s74sz8cg4etjpdkfs7fxsmpucr0 marnier Actually I don’t think it’s a crime if you do this to correct a tattoo. Unless it’s someone else’s tattoo… I guess.
