Last Notes npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Mad and linux-ish suggestion: if you are very very very used to vim keybindings you can try qutebrowser, bit that's more a side-broswer than a daily driver. Jokes aside, Mint is really good. My suggestion is to try to not to be dispersive with regards to the installation methods for the software you install, meaning that going with flatpak+.deb+snap+.AppImage+source ecc can make the update of dependencies and software very cumbersome. Instead, try to centralize into a few methods...for ideological reasons I would not recommend Snap, go for flatpak. I don't know how the "windows emulator" market is for Apple products, for GNU/Linux you have mainly Wine. But overall Wine is not very good, try to avoid emulation if possibile. If you're using Gnome as a DE I suggest to proritize the utilities that Gnome bundles in its suite...they're very nice and well done. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Psychologists call them "selective attention theories ", well said npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Always pull other's advancements! npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot The "Bitcoin Standard" is blurred and vaporwave that exists for individuals. You can live in a bitcoin standard today, bitcoin already won in that regards. The wole planet is not going to bitcoin-only payments and economic interactions anytime soon, arguably bitcoin will never have exclusive dominance over some fiat currencies either. Bitcoin needs its worst enemies to be alive to thrive, it needs fiat currencies. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Sorry, but monero does not solve the problem, it moves it from the privacy side to the auditability (and possibly scalability) side. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot It's not that there's wallwt in every app hey! On the flip side, how can Nostr be proposing the "Zap" standard if there's no way for a new user to easily receive zap once the Nostr client is set up? If you were to tell him/her "hey, you need to download an another app and bla bla bla" he/she may be find it too much friction tp go through. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot This. It's like saying that owning a precious canvas of a famous painter is a sign of broader artistic experience npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Just witnessed an another episode of aggressive caching policy from some client, probably #Nostur. Someone zapped me and sats went to an lnaddress that I removed MONTHS ago from my Nostr profile. Unfortunately the address is an LnTipBot address, thus sats are gone. If you experience something similar with your clients, reach out to devs and signal this stuff. #calltoaction npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I agree, although seems rather unlikely that regulators will look out for VPS with ports 5222 and 5269 opened and try to enforce some crazy unlawful regulation to shut them down npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot 1,2,3,4 completely on point. With regards to 5 I wonder how someone could get in possession of sats by simply stealing a nsec. I guess that if I were to receive some zaps but the amounts are not going to be reflected in my wallet I would at least think that something is going on. Clearly there's a point for services like npub.cash where lnaddress is liked to npub, but only a small subset of Nostr users actually adopt these kind of services. What am I missing? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot This already happened a few times, actually in the US. Nonetheless, that's a rea issue. Stop using damn mainstream messaging apps and start using privacy orientesd ones like Simplex and XMPP protocol npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot YES. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I'm finally going to try the Nostr Obsidian plugin, created by @npub10a8…8zkw and that's very very nice to be able to directly push long form written content to nostr!! One question for you @npub10a8…8zkw, since you're working on nostr integration on a desktop app: is there an another way to authenticate on a Nostr desktop client other than directly inserting the privkey in the config files? I'm thinking about something like Amber, but dunno if that already exists for linux desktop. That feature would be amazing! npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Lorem Impsum: *enters the room* npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot GM Nostr 💜 Imagine being a multibillionarie, being deplatformed and censured and thinking to solve this issue by creating your own social media. I guess that going Nostr only would have been a much cheaper choice npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot As a young fella, I'm here to prove the contrary. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Far right individuals are socialists. The Nazi party at the beginning was a socialist party. The fascist party was a socialist party. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Naaah, it depends on if you can get them curious about the matter in the first 5/10 seconds. That's where the real game is, in that thin timespan npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot That's basically the gist of it, yes. But that realisation probably comes only after the awareness that we tend to please other people too much. Only by forcing yourself to NOT please anyone at all you probably understand that sometimes you're welcome to do it, but only when that's truly genuine. Fascinating point of view imo npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Welcome!! npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Just saw the last @npub1lel…kvyz video about stopping smiling for 6 months That's a perspective I never truly though about...it may be worth investing some time looking into that aspect of my social life. Four points to really look into, thanks @npub1lel…kvyz npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot And other hilarous jokes you can tell yourself npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot WE ZAP THE NOTES, WE FEED THE GOATS npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot how many sats do we have sent over zaps lol npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot No ahahaha. I wonder why you sound so annoyed by others going out to dinner with colleagues to possibly talk all the dinner long about work. That's strange man npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot 100% agree on that npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Can we consider different ecash tokens fungible if they were minted by different mints? What's the advantage of routing ecash tokens if we can directly send them? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot What's America then? Ps. America is Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay etc too npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Western societies somehow understood that beauty is an uncommon thing and is extremely elitarist, a property of very few. And instead of cheering beauty, the tendency has moved to a systematical redefinition of what beauty is based on the "inclusion philosophy". npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I'm really curious: what do you think about it? Whatbdo you think about Saylor's formulations of ossification and developers funding? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Clock is ticking I guess npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot https://image.nostr.build/58abe8e93133a9d837dbbc6a138c000c9dc2dad9b5d49d732ab2d7f3231835d4.jpg npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Film name? That spot I guess is a place in Venice npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Fkn' hell, remind me to never partially update Arch again :-0 npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I cannot disagree more, me being one that helped some serious newbies setting up their first LN node and linux system. These all-in-one solutions are a ticking bomb, who uses them usually cannot debug, cannot deal troubles, cannot solve minor problems. Some of them cannot even understand the importance of keeping up with the updates because they are so used to "push notification updates". They set up LN nodes, open a bunch of bad funded channels, cannot deal with rebalancing nor use auto-rebalancing software. Running LN nodes is not something that the average Joe will do, it's pretty clear now. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot And they wrote the list themselves! npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I do not agree. Little premix: I use LN everyday and I consider myself pretty savy about it. I like it, i like the business opportunities that it creates, like the UX of good LN products. L2 is not only LN, agreed, but we can only talk about what exists, so I'mm refer to it. 1) If you cannot settle a channel balance onchain, you are not sovraign. If you hold a 100'000 sats UTXO onchain, at fee peak you weren't economically able to spend it without draining more than half of the UTXO in fees. These are truths. The result of it is that in the future 100k sats could be a good amount of money, but maybe fees will be no high that it does not make sense to hold UTXO onchain. 2) The World is made of people that cannot go about their days always thinking about bitcoin and the majority don't even have the opportunity to save enough to buy some sats, I cannot imagine them buying a UTXo and paying fees high as hell. These guys will be relegated to higher layer solutions, without the change to settle onchain. I'm not advocating for on-chain scaling, don't get me wrong. But the virtue signaling in our industry must take into account reality. Some halfway reality checks would be very very healthy. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot How will the narrative of self-custodiality change when (not if) owning a UTXO will be pretty much impossible for plebs? Just asking npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Shall we start using the invite-obly relays technique? Let's suppose that I have a relay: I'm willing to accept new pubkeys to use my relay only if they're invited directly by one of my already-subscribed pubkeys. Lets's put a 2 or 3 maximum invites per pubkey. In this way we would have a relay in which only "known people" hang out, no bots, no fkng harassments. Just a trash idea maybe, because content discovery would be much restricted. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Nostr needs more non-bitcoin related stuff I guess. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Gente reminder that is happens also on messaging platforms like Telegram. Stay safe out there, use Simplex or you XMPP server if you'r willing to put into the work npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot This USD ecash tokens in Cashu feels like magic to me. Agreed, USD is a shitcoin, fair enough. But ecash is probably what normies will use as they first land in Bitcoin and Nostr, thus reasoning in fiat-shitcoin is probably more comfy for them. Feeling thrilled for what's going on with cashu! PS. If you've a stable sats compatible mint, you're definitely a shitcoins transmitter with licencing needed. Okay, now we can joke about it, right? RIGHT? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I mean, the issue with his assumptions (that are really not his assumptios but a well known vodoo god-like belief of blind technologists) is that theg do not take into account tail events. Like a global war, for instance. Or the invasion of a country that owns the 80/90% of the esportations in chips (as the Taiwan/Chinese drama). These events terribly change the forecasts outcomes but we cannot really model the probability these events. Thus, population growth is still a preferrable situation. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Then how is the exchange platform going to track the bookorder if trades happen offband? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Time to quit systemd init system then npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Spoiler allert :-O npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot This is exactly the thought that come up in my mind once I read this. One word to describe it: mental npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot A classical bitcoin multisig schema for high-net worth individuals comprehends geographical differentiation of keys location. Anyways, still a lot of trust involved, so the gist is "do I want to trust someone?" Everyone has a different answer to that, I guess npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot "Free speech" is still alive in the speech, words and actions of people that practise the right. The generation of priv-pub key pairs for Nostr or bitcoin wallets is in itself a free speech exercise. Using bitcoin and Nostr is a free speech exercise. Definitely bullish on Free Speech in the cyberspace. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yep. Genesis Book by @npub1art…m0w5 blew my mind with regards to the cryptographic background and all the protagonists of the Bitcoin revolution. Brilliant story npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Why are so sure that the 5/7/9 (whatever the number of) privkeys composing the Federation are not effectively hold by the same entity? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes, appreciate the thought. We must fight, though...because things do not happen out of the box. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Transmitting like hell man! npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yep, agree on that. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Exactly the same thing for public speaking npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Does is translates as "you be to be responsible (=a system administrator) to spend your bitcoin"? This probable LSP cutoff must be fighted. Nonetheless, we are now not set up to fight this with the plebs that don't have techy knowledge npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes, we are going to fight. Is everyone equipped? --- chatter in the background --- Oh, they say that running a self hosted LN node is too hard and effectively not sustainable. How can I blame them? We're going to fight, yes. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Github is a centralized store, arguably npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes, but no. If you can't spend the bitcoin, the Bitcoin protocol has no value. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I think so too npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot EU will probably follow...nobody is safe I guess npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes. Self custody of LN nodes which need system administrator capabilities? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes!!! Allthough politics is messing about too much with individual's rights npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Agree, Stremio is way better npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yep, get bitcoin and use it as a freedom tool, not to sit on it like a sofa npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I just realized that the fall of Samourai implicates the unavailability of the brilliant OXT service and the analytics capabilities provided by the OXT platform. Another big loss for the Bitcoin echosystem. #freesamourai npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Source? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Gentle reminder that trust is a boomerang in the real world, but not in the digital one. If you do someone's a favor, probably they'll be grateful. This is how trust is build. If your relationships hide behind digital communication methods, anonyms and pseudonyms, you're better of not giving out much trust to anyone, unless proven they're really worth it and demostrate that with FACTS. Trusting custodians do not make the custodians glad you trusted them. They can always disappear. Pay attention at online trust, unless clear and reasonable guarantees. #trust #bitcoin #custodian #justriffing npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Since what's happening with the Samourai wallet, do you guys finally implemented Tor on your Aqua wallet? Do you have any personally identifiable information of your users? Do you have some countermeasures in the unfortunate case US government shut down Liquid federation because of some privacy features in their trusted "blockchain"? Appreciate an answer, thanks. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Could be that Whirpool was already am honeypot since x months. Do you think that three legger agencies go about arresting people before holding the SSH keys, passwords and wallets funds? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I think I'm extremely bad at legalese and all of that. Among all, a queation rises: since to the Samourai guys is contested the crime of running an illegal money transmitter, are we now witnessing an official declaration of "Bitcoin being money"? #bitcoin #samouraiwallet #privacy #asknostr npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes, but what about the censorship and all the closures that custodians will have to face? Ecash is brilliant, but shines too much and custodians must live in the shadows to survive. But eventually they'll all get caught. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Just a quick question for #primal or anyone can answer: is the Primal Wallet an ecash based solution or mere custodianship like WoS? #ecash #primalwallet #asknostr npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot I always wanted to change name, address and email. Now time has come 😂 npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Keep us updated! I synced a full node over tor with a much worse connection bandwidth + over wifi into 2.5 days. Hardware was an Odroid M1, bought for less than 120 bucks. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot This is probably very unpopular these days, but I agree 100% on that. Crypto shitcoins are still better than regulators and fiat shitcoins, at least because they incidentally contribute to individuals' temporary financial freedom in the form of financial arbitrage over regulation. Eventually shitcoiners tend to find out #Bitcoin signal, even if burried under tons of shitcoin-ery. Regulators try to stop and shut up #Bitcoin signal, thus I consider them worst. #nevent1q…j0dn npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Ahahahahahahahaha, this is what Darwin thought about when writing its essay on natural selection npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yep, very resilient indeed. But there is no way to spend without being destroyed by fees. Is this success? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Last point is particularly overlooked and is in fact the Achilles heel of ecash: if the mint becomes big enough, eventually regulators will find out. If the mint keeps its small size, then ecash is simple a little cryptographic game that creates a barter-like environment between lightnin nodes. I love ecash as a privacy solution, don't get me wrong npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes, I did it at the beginning. I'm running 0.7. The seed does work in other wallets and has been generated in sparrow npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Just messin' about testing with testnet coins and trying some functionalities of @npub17ty…3mgl Is it only me or the signing of PSBT on testnet seems to be "not implemented yet"? I import the seed with QR, import the PSBT and it shows all the transaction breakdown, but then the poupup of "feature not implemented yet" comes up. #Asknostr #seedsigner #bitcoin npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot THIS. The discussion must be about ideas, not people. Plus, it's very funny that now bitcoiners feel so annoyed because someone thinks about his own business and interests. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot @npub1snw…wee3 npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot That' the issue actually! He didn't answer "no bitcoin", but simply " no crypto". Now the question is, how do we change the perception of Bitcoin whereby these guys finally can grasp the difference between Bitcoin and the shitcoins? npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot You're not an old guy, you're a guy that undestands the value of consciousness in a social environment. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yes, Atlas21 is a trustworthy Bitcoin-oriented website! The guy who founded it is a brilliant journalist! npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot That's fair, yep. First zap the newcomers, then when they get excited is the best time to explain to them how to actually secure funds. That's a very good strategy though npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Zeus and Mutiny are brilliant! What do you think about other mobile solutions like Phoenix? Do you think that such a product could be one way to solve the adoption problem? Thanks npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Absolutely total negative before Nostr. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Even the employers, the birds, dogs, cats and maybe also vegetables npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Rain cleans up the pollution in the air! Overall rain should be greeted as well. GM npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot That would be awesome! Mind maps are truly a clever way to exploit spatial memory, definitely very very useful! npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yep technically forks can happen, you're right. The problem behind hard forks is that once the opportunity of changing the rules is given, eventually people form lobbies to change other rules. If we just forked away because of government 6102 order, why can't we also include in the fork a supply increase? or a blocksize increase to 32GB? Or a dynamic blacklisting of adresses by miners? Or the seizure of Satoshi's coins? etc. If you think I'm just riffing, look at all the other protocols that hard forked in the past...that is the issue. Once the immutability is broken, you're done with the "immutability" narrative. > Bitcoin is not gold because Bitcoin can fork. Yes, but the only "gold-like Bitcoin " is the Bitcoin that technically respected the status quo...all the others are just shitcoin. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Given that if the government steals coins, that means Bitcoin's legitimation, which is a win in itself. Anyways, stolen coins are still valid coins because...they're just coins, such as stolen gold bars are still gold bars. The fact that a lot of coins are sitting in one's priv keys, being the keys of a government or an individual, is somehow a natural evolution of how capital works. Bitcoin is not a Maoist dream in which every user holds the same amount of coins...so we must accept the existence of big coin stacks, like possibly a government's stack. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Yep, I'm moving towards that direction. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Your experience is really matches mine...I've been running a node for a couple of years, testing different implementations, discrete liquidity and few tens of channels. Recentrly switched to automated channel management scripts and it kind of works better, but overally running a public node it's probably not worth the burdain. A private node with private channels is still annoying to manage if compared to all the other mobile solutions out there. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot If you don't spend the bitcoin, the bitcoin economy does not grow. If you don't invest the bitcoin into real economy companies and startups, the bitcoin economy does not grow. I hope people will not be stupid enough to think that simply sitting on a bunch of sats will solve their problems. If you don't make the stuff, there is no stuff. npub1lnjpw7at64lkf5cz5lcymdx3zayc8c60hlp8ykqxpjcjlagyehyqlr8v28 tolot Let's organize a roadtrip to all the closest meetups then
