Watched this interview from CBC Vancouver during lunch. Industry guy tried to dump high prices on government taxes. Yea right they were building for rich investors.

looking back at the series I think he was always crazy but just had immense self control. Went off the rails when he lost DS9 again and his daughter was killed.

rich donors are no doubt complaining. Ironically they are now paying the price for politicians who shut down all those mental health facilities at the behest of the rich who wanted to pay less in taxes

again that falls upon the electorate Democracy only works if the voters educate themselves but we all know that most folks won't be bothered.

there is also the thought that the orange baby could force MS to cut off access to nations he doesn't like. The federal and provincial governments would pretty much be crippled.

yep. I live in the lower mainland, and a wind storm blew over a tree that used to provide shade for my apartment a number of years ago.

2025-05-30 02:12:21 GMT

If the wind speed is high enough to pick up objects, yes, I would think that should qualify as an alert

2025-05-30 01:43:16 GMT

no need. They are just going to tell you no.

2025-05-29 19:55:26 GMT

kinda feels like a "well duh" story. Maybe corporations will pay more attention once their revenues are affected

2025-05-01 02:20:38 GMT

yea he needs to go. Conservatives need to dump the crazies

2025-05-01 02:01:03 GMT

likely they'll need to drag him out kicking and screaming like a toddler. That seems to be the mindset of a lot conservatives these days. Their minds have been turned to much by misinformation and propaganda

apparently whining is all they know how to do now

2025-04-27 01:00:56 GMT

advanced turnout was high, so hopefully, it's a good sign that people will actually bother to vote.

2025-04-24 03:33:08 GMT

not surprising in the least

2025-04-24 02:10:00 GMT

Damn that's pretty weak if true. You shouldn't be running for office if you can't stomach a few protestors.

2025-04-10 16:24:04 GMT

well, apparently Trump made an executive order about showerheads today. Maybe investors have finally realized Trump is senile

2025-02-02 01:58:49 GMT

2025-01-11 01:39:51 GMT

amusing as there seems to be quite a few conservative supporters who are mentally unwell.

, hmm, skeptical that proportional representation will get anywhere.
It's been put to a referendum a few times in my lifetime and has been shot down.
The voters in this province barely understand the current system, so anything more complicated will make their heads explode.

you can thank Kevin Falcon for folding BC United. BC United would have at least leached some of the crazy uncle votes from the conservatives.
They were bad for this province as the BC Liberals but at least they wouldn't have run it completely into the ground.

so I should add that I squealed like a fan girl when the revived Enterprise-D appeared on screen. I do believe that both Enterprise F and Titan A received the raw end of the deal.
The Titian A should remained it's own thing, and the Oddeysey Enterprise-F should have been the Starfleets F this borg bs and launched at the end of the final episode. For along time STO players were the only thing keeping the franchise alive

yes season 1 Lorca was a good villian and it was such as shame they vaporized him.
However, I still believe Discovery would have worked better if were it's own timeline

2024-09-28 01:16:32 GMT

- reply

well, I'm going to play devils advocate here. If the writers wanted to reimangine the series, they should have just come out and said hey we are going to do a BSG style reboot. I think most folks would have been fine with that.
Season 1 Discovery was a train wreck. Season two and New Trek were salvaged by the will of Anson Mount alone. They wouldn't have needed to jump to the far future if the writers and show runners were honest from the beginning

2024-09-28 00:59:10 GMT

- reply

well the nostalgia Picard Season 3 was as a hail Mary as season 2 of the show was a bloody train wreck. Yes DS9 and Voyager should also get their follows ups but we all know executives are dumb as nails
