Is the app running with Xwayland? Running it natively would probably fix it, albeit you might then run into Chromium’s Wayland issues.

the initial post was about him using Gnome’s built in screen recorder, which is poor quality due to patent issues and ensuring it works for low end devices. The accessibility stuff came a bit later.

it’s amazing how much drama came out of a post that was basically “gnome wasted my time because its screen recordings are bad”.
